COMPETITION FORMAT:The first stage will be played Individually

seeded for a final direct elimination round

According to the CACSO established quota, the Racquetball com- petition will have a maximum of 48 athletes, 20 women and 28 men.
Each NOC may enter a maximum of 4 athletes per gender, as long as they comply with the criteria for qualification for Rac- quetball set for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Ga- mes, Barranquilla 2018.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORS
Only the NOCs recognized by CACSO, with National Racquetball Fe- derations that are members of the International Racquetball Federa- tion (IRF) and to the Pan American Racquetball Confederation (PARC) can enter athletes to the Racquetball competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. If recognized by PARC, Associated members recognized by CACSO may also be allowed to participate.

Up to two representatives from each NOC will be able to attend this Technical Meeting.
The invitation card for the Technical Meeting will be available for the Heads of Team at the Sports Information Center of the Central Ame-rican and Caribbean Village, upon their arrival.
The Technical Delegate and the COBAR’s Competition Manager for Racquetball will preside the meeting, which shall take place in Spani-sh with translation into English
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS The International Racquetball Federation will designate the technical personnel and officials and jointly with the Colombian Racquetball Federation the judges will also be selected.
PROTESTS AND APPEALS In the event of a protest, the country protesting shall submit said pro-test in writing and the Appeals Jury will come to a decision before the next competition session starts.
The Technical Meeting will take place on Thursday July 19 at the Corporación Universitaria de la Costa CUC - room No.4 at 12:00 hours.
MINIMUM TEAM QUOTA
The minimum quota required for the competition to take place is six (6) teams.

QUALIFICATION TO LIMA 2019The Racquetball competition of the XXIII Central American and Ca-ribbean Games will grant four (4) slots for the Pan American Games LIMA 2019 in the following way: Two (2) women’s single finalists and two (2) men’s singles finalists.
MEDAL CEREMONIESMedal ceremonies will take place accoring to CACSO’s General Regulations, Chapter XIII.
SINGLE EVENTS:
First Place: Gold Medal and Diploma Second Place: Silver Medal and diploma Third Place: Bronze Medal and diploma (2)
TEAMS:
First Place: A diploma for the team and a gold medal and a diploma for each athlete.Second Place: A diploma for the team and a silver medal and a diplo-ma for each athlete. Third Place: A diploma for the team and a bronze medal and a diplo-ma for each athlete.
ENTRIES All countries through the corresponding NOC must send their Sport Entry requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20, 2018. They must indicate in the form the sports in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games “Ba-rranquilla 2018”. (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site “Barranquilla 2018”). If recognized by the Pan American Confe-

deration of said sport and CACSO, Associate Members may also be allowed to participate.
ENTRY BY NUMBER The Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Ba-rranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO’s Regulation, Chapter VIII.
ENTRY BY NAME For each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Ba-rranquilla, Colombia’s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO’s Regulations, Chapter VIII.
Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered 6 months before the Games. MINIMUM PARTICIPATION For an event to be considered official at least five (5) representations must participate from the same number of National Olympic Com-mittees. In the event one or more representations, after the Techni-cal Meeting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) representations of the same number of National Olympic Committees.

GENERAL RULES The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Ga-mes Barranquilla 2018 will be carried out according to CACSO’s Sta-tute and the corresponding International Federation Regulation in force during the Games. The cases not foreseen in the above-men-tioned regulations will be solved as follows:
General nature cases will be solved according to CACSO’s Statute and according to the Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation. Technical nature cases will be solved according to the procedures of the Pan American Confederation or a Continental Organization.
UNIFORMS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the co-rresponding International Federation regulations must be followed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guidelines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks.
DOPING CONTROL Doping control will be done according to CACSO’s Medical Com-mission requirements, according to the corresponding International Federation Regulation and will follow the 2018 version of standards of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
TRAINING FACILITIESAccess will be allowed only to accredited team members. There is no public access allowed. Equipment shall follow the requirements of the corresponding International Federation.
