High RopesWant to live life on the edge? Come and experience what its feels like to be more than 30 feet in the air! Richmond Hill’s 22-element dynamic ropes course will challenge and excite you, while giving you the confidence to try anything. Experienced instructors will keep you physically and emotionally engaged as you experience the different elements of the ropes course. The program provides instruction related to the equipment and climbing techniques like belaying. Come to the edge! Children will receive an Adventure Series sticker in this program for their passport.

Rock ClimbingAre your children climbing the walls at home? Then bring them to climb ours! This program is designed to provide a solid introduction to rock climbing. Portraiture DrawingOne of the most interesting art forms is portraiture, which captures expressions with a drawing. To do it well, teens need to understand the anatomy and structure of head to shoulder construction. This program will give them the right skills. Using a technique called wire drawing, they will learn how to dance freely over the paper with pencil or charcoal to create basic portraits and develop their individual style. Guitar 101Have a six-string, will play! In this program, teens will learn how to properly handle a guitar along with basic theory, timing, strumming cords and reading music (both traditional notation and tablature). Afterwards, the focus will shift to learning rock, funk, punk and pop songs of their choice, with additional theory and technique lessons in reference to modern music methods. Participants must bring their own acoustic guitar and have the option of participating in a recital at the end of the course.

Every player will have an opportunity to develop essential basketball and team sport skills in a positive and constructive environment. Players should understand the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing and shooting, as well as the basic rules of the game. Coaches will form balanced teams for exciting matchups, and every player is guaranteed one hour on the court each week.

This coed, recreational volleyball program is for teens who want to learn more about the game and get in some matches. Volleyball basics will be reviewed during the first couple of classes. Players will then be divided into teams for the remaining weeks, creating a recreational league for game play. This is an introductory program. Beginners are welcome!
