It gives immense pleasure to conduct and participate in the “Swachhata – Hi – Seva”

campaign which was launched by our Honourable Prime Minister, According to the Schedule

given by the Swachh Bharath Mission all the activities are conducted perfectly in our ULB. It

gives pride to the Tenali Municipality has launched a new innovative technique for the

sanitation and public health which is of “Mini Bi-cycle Fogging Machines” where the Hand

Fogging Machines are attached to the Bi-Cycles and these Cycles will run in the specified

path all over the ULB.

One more new intervention has been taken up by the Tenali Municipality which it started a

“Wall of Kindness” in the ULB for the purpose of serving old and poor people with the

unused and remained food and clothes in the city. It gives honour that the Park, Public toilet

, Community toilet, Urban Health Centre & Tenali Municipality itself has nominated for the

Swachhandhra awards Contest. The Inspection team from Swachhandhra Corporation

visited the ULB and they were very satisfied with all these selected nominations in different

categories in the ULB.

It is pride to say that the Black spot Management and Beautification has been done in

continuous manner in only Tenali Municipality when compared with the other ULBs. In the

Part of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and also in continuation of BSM the OD Black Spot

near Bustand is Beautified with Greenery and converted into Green spot. It gives happiness

to say that the foundation stone has laid for construction of G+3 Shopping Complex in the

premises of Municipal Office itself.

Current Activities

Inauguration of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign As per the Instructions from the Swachh Bharath Mission, Government of India “Swachhata

Hi Seva Campaign” is inaugurated on 15th September 2017 in Tenali Municipality. The Total

Campaign for 17 days is scheduled by SBM and the Tenali Municipality conducted certain

drives, rallies and events in all schools, offices and parks by following those scheduled

programmes. In part of Inauguration day schedule a massive rally is conducted near kotha

vanthena centre and release of posters and hoardings by Hon’ble MLA and followed by

pledge on cleanliness and waste segregation.

Inauguration of Mini Cycle Fogging Machines – In Domalapai Dandayatra Campaign

As Part of Domalapai Dandayatra Campaign in the town, The new Mini Cycle Fogging

Machines are invented for first time in the country where the Hand Fogging machines are

attached to the Bicycles so that the fogging is done when the cycle moves in its path. And

also in part of the program a Massive rally was conducted in the town by the school

students and NCC cadets and Honble MLA also participated in the rally along with Chairman

and Commissioner.

Inauguration of “Wall of Kindness”

The “Wall of Kindness” is a new initiative recently in all urban area, where it is the place of

collection of food which is remained in hotels and residents and also the used clothes by the

people to help and serve the poor. The residents of the town can donate their unused food

and clothes or anything can be bring and hang to the wall there which can be utilized by the

poor. The Wall of Kindness is inaugurated by Honb’le MLA and Commissioner which is

initiated by the local NGO of Kalpavruksh.

Inspection by Nodal Agency on Swachhandhra Awards

The Swachhandhra Corporation GO AP has conducted an event of Awards for Different

categories throughout the 110 ULBS of AP. The Tenali Municipality has nominated for all

different categories in the award criteria .i.e. Kaviraja Park has nominated for Parks criteria

and Public Toilet opposite to Swatantra Vihar hotel is nominated for PT criteria and

Vykuntapuram Bio-Toilets have nominated under Community toilet criteria and also Tenali

Municipality itself has nominated for Best ULB criteria…etc.

After the Nominations, Swachhandhra Corporation has sent an inspection team to inspect

all these nominated categories thereby depending upon their rport the awards are get

awarded to the ULBs.

Inspection in Silver Making Units on Air & Sound Pollution

A Complaint is filed in Lokayukth regarding the sound and air pollution near hospital due to

the silver making units, So the Municipal Commissioner has visited and done an inspection

in detail regarding the pollution levels. Finally it concluded that the hospital which shown as

sufferer itself is an illegal construction and the silver making units are in Residential cum

commercial area which is liable to the land use.

Swachhata –Hi-Seva Campaign & Swachhata Drives

As Per the instructions of Swachh Bharath Mission, GOI the Swachhata hi seva campaign is

started and the Swachhata drives were conducted every where on daily basis. As per the

Schedule given by SBM these Drives are conducted at all Parks, Hospitals, Schools , Bus

stands, Railway stations, Market areas, All Government offices ..etc. Where in all these

activities different NGO groups are also participated along with municipal staff.

Swachha Vidyalaya Utsav – For Schools

In Part of the Swachhata hi seva campaign, for swachhata drives in schools a Swachha

Vidyalay Utsav has started and it was connducted in all the primary and high schools in the

city.

Beautification of OD Black spot at Bus stand

There is a OD Blackspot identified near side wall of Bus stand where the Open defecation

has been done from years, Then the total Stretch has beautified through proper plantation

and levelling with protection of fence around it.

Foundation Stone Ceremony for Shopping Complex beside Municipal Office

On the Day of Dussera, Foundation stone was laid by Honble Minister N.Anand Babu and

Honble MlA Alapati Rajendra Prasad for the construction of Silver Shopping complex in the

Premises of Municipal Office, Where it will be G+3 storied Building of completely

commercial Purpose. The Chairman , Commissioner, ZPTC and staff has participated in the

event.
