Principal’s Report Dear Parents and Carers,

Good luck to the students in Years 3 and 5 with NAPLAN this week. They have Language Conventions and Writing today, Reading tomorrow and finish off with Numeracy on Thursday.

Parent/Teacher Interviews were held last week. We were very pleased so many parents took the opportunity to catch up with their child’s class teacher. If you were not able to arrange an interview at a suitable time, please contact your class teacher, as some parents have done, so one can be arranged.

Congratulations to the P&C on a successful Mothers’ Day stall last Friday morning. We hope all the Mums had a very special day on Sunday.

Our School Cross Country is on this Friday 14th May, with an altered timetable to accommodate this whole school event. Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered to assist on the day. Parents are also welcome to attend as spectators, however they will be separate from the students, asked to remain seated and maintain social distancing. It would be a good idea to BYO rug or chair. All parents and carers are required to scan the QR Code, for contact tracing purposes, and sign in for our school records. The Zone Cross Country is now on Friday 21st May in Mulwala.

Some of the restrictions around COVID-19 continue to be relaxed but we must remember this can change very quickly. All parents who come into the school grounds are asked to please come in through the front office, sign in and scan the QR Code. We are all reminded to:

• Wash Hands often • Bring a drink bottle • Stay Away when sick and get tested if you have flu like symptoms • Encourage good hand hygiene practices and remind your children to cough and sneeze into

their elbow. • Keep up-to-date with the latest health information by monitoring the NSW Government

website . John Francis, Principal You are eligible for FREE dental

treatment. If you live in NSW and are 2 - 18 years old you can have a free dental check at a Public Dental Clinic. You only need a Medicare number. Dental clinics are located at the Berrigan Community Health Centre and at the Deniliquin Hospital. Phone 1800 45 00 46. We are not visiting schools at the present time.

We would love some jars to use for our science projects. If you have any spare jars at home that you would be happy to donate, please bring them to

the school office.
