    An establishing shot of an impressively old but stillstately mansion, a distinctive alien slant to thearchitecture.

    PUSH IN passed the high, imposing metal gates that CRACKLEwith electricity every few seconds and the marble pathways.

    INT. HARLEQUIN MANSION - VIEWING ROOM - NIGHT

    A stern, balding heavyset man in his late forties watchessomething through a one way mirror. His deep yellowcomplexion indicates hes a yorlund. This is LEAD HUNTERCAPLAN.

    MALE (O.S.)Sir? He might have cooperatedmore if we hadnt left his femalecompanion for dead.

    REVERSE ANGLE reveals two other yorlund hunters, one maleand one female sat at a table.

    The male, MOORE, is a puffy, dark haired man in histhirties. He bites into a brightly coloured ring, a mogul.

    His female counterpart, DREXLAR, gives him a warning look.A stark contrast with long purple hair and a toned, muscledbody.

    DREXLARShe was dead. Besides, the

    emergency services were alertedto the crash anyway.

    Caplan just looks at Moore, who COUGHS choking on a bite ofhis mogul from the intense stare.

    DREXLAR (CONTD)Let me try. Ill get him to open

    Caplan gives a contemptible SNORT causing Drexlar to averther gaze, embarrassed.

    CAPLANPiers is doing fine.

    And as Caplan returns his gaze to the one way mirror weFOCUS and PUSH THROUGH to:

    INT. HARLEQUIN MANSION - INTERROGATION ROOM - NIGHT

    A thin, blonde haired yorlund man in his thirties, PIERS,sits patiently at a black table.

    PIERS(bored)

    You willing to answer somequestions yet?

    SHIFT FOCUS to his interviewee, a handcuffed man in hisearly thirties with brownish blonde hair.

    A nasty, purplish bruise covers the entire right side ofhis face. Even with it, hes an exceptionally attractiveman and he damn sure knows it.

    Despite his sharp blue suits crumpled and blood spatteredstate, he drips with suave sophistication. This isCHARDONNAE ASTAR.

    He smiles at Piers as if hes privy to some secret jokethat no one else is aware of.

    CHARDONNAEIm not sure if anyones evertold you this, Piers, but youhave the most amazing eyes.Piercing blue. Quite alluring.

    Piers bored uh huh expression melts away as he finallylooks into Chardonnaes blue eyes.

    CHARDONNAE (CONTD)Ive a question for you if youdont mind my asking.

    He eyes up Piers with a lingering and extremely suggestiveonce over before he leans in close. Piers doesnt seem to

    move or react at all.

    CHARDONNAE (CONTD)(whispering)

    Piers nods mutely as if in a trance and reaches down to aset of keys on his belt...

    BAM! The door to the room is violently THROWN open as

    Caplan storms in.

    CAPLANPiers!

    Piers finally seems to SNAP out of it. His hand quicklyretracting from his belt with a sheepish grimace.Chardonnae grins- like that of a cat toying with a mouse.

    CHARDONNAEAt last. How longs it been?Fifteen, sixteen years? I waswondering when you would tire ofwatching your lackeys attemptsto question me. Though come tothink of it, you do like towatch, dont you?

    Caplan seethes at Chardonnaes cocky attitude, roughlyGRABBING him by his lapels. Theres a brief flicker ofuncertainty in those blue eyes of his.

    CHARDONNAE (CONTD)Alright, alright. No need to havean aneurysm on my account.

    (sighs)How may I be of service to you?

    Satisfied, Caplan releases him just as roughly.

    CAPLANTell me everything and start fromthe beginning.

    Chardonnae seems to consider this request verythoughtfully.

    EXT. THE WAYLANDER - NIGHT

    A long line of people with a dizzying variety of skincolours, limbs and body shapes wait impatiently.

    The line trails down and out of sight of the brightlyrainbow coloured dance club. Pulsing lights near the

    entrance illuminate the crowd every few seconds.

    SARA (O.S.)So basically weve been standinghere for hours when you couldhave just dropped his name andcut in?

    JUMP TO SARA, TAZUL and SELENE standing near the entranceof the club.

    TAZULLook theres only a few morepeople ahead of us.

    SELENEWell, if you can waste a fewsolar hours in this line heobviously isnt that endangered.

    TAZULLook to your right, the windowdirectly across from thisbuilding.

    Selene and Sara both discreetly look to their right.Theres a glimpse of purple hair as someone quickly ducksout of sight in the window.

    SELENEHunters? Whats the pudanz gothimself involved in, this time?

    Sara opens her mouth to say something but the sceneFREEZES.

    CHARDONNAE (V.O.)Actually if you really want thegenesis of where all thisbegan...

    SMASH CUT TO:

    INT. DRUG HOUSE - DAY

    A man with red dread locked hair, JALLY smokes away on ahand rolled cigarette. He counts out piles of money on atable before him, separating notes and gold coins.

    CHARDONNAE (V.O.)It all started here...

    A tall, bearded man, GILLI watches as a third person,SHARD, a blonde scruffy chemist fiddles with the tubingfrom a distillation device. Bags of little, green pillscrowd the counter nearby.

    SHARDYou know sometimes I feel Ishould of used my skills to curesome disease or something, youknow?

    JALLYLike what?

    SHARDI dont know. Something with animpressive hard ta pronouncename.

    GILLI(dismissive)

    FOCUS ON a wiry, brown haired man in his thirties. This isWINSTON.

    The three look to the thick door- a metal cage surroundsthe area directly behind it, but the gate is wide open.

    JALLYRelax Winston.

    GILLI(confused; scratches hishead)

    I thought you were expecting some

    friends. The ones who were goingto help us rip off-

    A frustrated Winston places his hand up to stop him, not inthe mood, as he STOMPS over to the cage.

    WINSTONHow many times, do I have to saylock the fressing cage before itsinks in?

    He goes to CLINK the gate shut -

    BAM! The front door is violently KICKED open.

    Six figures all in black, armed to the teeth with pulseguns, BURST in. Black helmets obscure their faces. Theleader hurls a stunned Winston out of the way.

    Two helmeted people quickly SHOVE all the cash into a bagwhile another hurriedly sweeps all the bags of greentablets into the bag.

    The other three train their weapons on the hapless men whonervously hold their hands up in the air.

    Their goal complete, they quickly rush off as fast as theyarrived.

    Winston painfully picks himself up from the floor.

    SHARDTheyre good. I bought that.

    Theres a sharp BEEP from a gold ocelot shaped pin onWinstons shirt.

    WINSTONWinston here.

    FADE IN:

    INT. ROOM - NIGHT

    PAN across a shabby room where the black helmets and pulseguns have been discarded. The leader, RAPHAEL is a tall,athletic man with curly dark hair who appreciatively looksover their newly acquired stash.

    RAPHAELThe only thing I probably wouldof done different?

    STONE, a bald guy in his thirties nods as he looks up fromcounting the notes and gold coins.

    RAPHAEL (CONTD)Shot up the place and thoselittle fressers. Ocelot omons.

    RUFUS, a weasly guy with short, jet black hair snickers.

    RUFUSAww Raph, why didnt you?

    EVE, an athletic woman in her thirties with mousy brownhair stops counting the little green pills in front of her.

    EVE(rolls her eyes)

    Cause dajinka it would of drawnunwanted attention to us,wouldnt it?

    The four look up as the door to the room CREAKS open. TOAD,a bulky man, with black, red and green streaked spiky hairand goggles enters. A sultry, young blonde woman, JENNAhangs off his arm, noticeably high and buzzed on something.

    TOAD(smiles)

    Sold two bags already. Jennatested it too- its the real highgrade drez.

    RAPHAELExcellent. We can sell the restto Declan Watts at a higher mark.

    JENNA(spaced out; giggles)

    Youre so smart bembeino.

    DBRONZE nods as he listens as Jally, Gilli and Shardrecount their story in the aftermath of the attack.

    JALLYBam! Just like that they weregone as fast as they came.

    SWITCH FOCUS to UVERE and Winston at a terminal wheresecurity footage currently plays showing the six maskedbandits bursting in.

    WINSTON(impressed)

    You can really trace theiridentities just through

    noticeable marks or tattoos?

    UVEREI can. That is if there are any Ican find here.

    BACK TO Dbronze and the three. Soft, cheesy soul musicstarts to play off screen.

    SHARDWe done?

    (off Dbronze)Just The Stars of Our Fates, isstarting.

    DBRONZEYa watch that drez?

    GILLI(nods)

    We all do except Winston. Itsone of our many guilty pleasuresin life.

    ANGLE ON a holographic projection screen where a stylized

    map of the stars TWINKLES as a deep voice booms:

    MAN (V.O.)As sure as the twin suns rise soare The Stars of Our Fates...

    Jally, Gilli and Shard sit down and watch the screenavidly. A green mottled skinned woman appears on screen ina white dress on the arm of a similarly skinned man in atuxedo.

    JALLY

    I heard Tzikas going to ditchhim at the altar.

    Jally, Gilli and Shard all turn to quizzically look at him.

    DBRONZE (CONTD)(off their looks)

    My old girlfriend used to watchthis drez all the time.

    BACK ON Uvere who is currently ZOOMING IN on the image ofthe lead bandits neck. He grins as the image RESOLVES to a

    distinct tattoo of a rastiff.

    UVEREDbronze I need you over here.Weve got ourselves a lead.

    INT. THE WAYLANDER - VIP LOUNGE - NIGHT

    PUSH IN passed the thick, red velvet curtains that blockthe sight of the entrance to the casual clubber as Tazul,Selene and Sara enter the dimly lit area.

    Sara coughs attempting to wave away the thick, green smokehaze that lingers here.

    People of various species light up fat, hand rolledcigarette-like sticks or puff away on ornate pipes fromwhich green smoke billows outwards.

    Chardonnae sits in a darkened alcove, his eyes closed inpleasure. His unbuttoned shirt revealing a large ocelotclan crest tattoo, that of a wild cat on his chest.

    Two attractive yorlund women VYNA and JEZEEL amorously kisshis chest and lick the blood that OOZES from shallow bitemarks across his bare torso.

    A handsome, yorlund male with shoulder length brown hair,HERMOLAUS, massages his shoulders leaning intimately closeand whispering softly into his ear.

    Sara stares fascinated at the spectacle whilst Selene justrolls her eyes and lights up a chaatu stick.

    Tazul takes in the scene before her with an amused grin

    before she clears her throat.

    Chardonnae opens his eyes begrudgingly but upon seeingTazul breaks into a huge grin.

    CHARDONNAEEkadai, ladies and Selene.

    TAZULCan you explain to me, whyexactly, there are hunterscrawling all over this place?

    CHARDONNAEIll get to that soon enough but-

    (indicates Sara)Not before you properly introduceme to this exquisite beauty.

    Hermolaus, Vyna and Jezeel stop ministrating to Chardonnaeas they jealously glare at the new threat.

    CHARDONNAE (CONTD)(chuckles)

    My haikeri, youve always knownIm not exclusive.

    (to Sara)Monogamy is inherently flawed.

    (to the three)We can continue this later Ivebusiness to attend to.

    The three sulkily slink off as Chardonnae nimbly buttonshis shirt.

    SARA(extends her hand)

    Im Sara Chalmers.

    Chardonnae grasps Saras hand gentlemanly and places a softkiss to it.

    CHARDONNAEChardonnae Astar. Its a pleasure

    to finally meet youracquaintance.

    SELENE(derisive)

    Thats not all your hoping topleasure.

    CHARDONNAE(dry)

    Aah, Selene still bitterlysingle? How Ive missed your

    always effervescent company.

    Selene glares murderously at Chardonnae who slyly grins atSara.

    TAZULI didnt come all the way for youto resume bickering. Now explain.

    EXT. KKHIK - NIGHT

    A hovering red train ZOOMS past a flashing and gaudy alienbillboard advertising what appears to be a bottle ofsomething unnaturally green.

    Hovering crafts of a myriad of colours ZIP past us as weDROP down to street level where yorlunds and a multitude ofpeople of various species, horns and skin colours hurry inthis bustling metropolis.

    FOCUS ON Uvere and Dbronze in the crowd as they walk downthe street.

    EXT. FADER TAVERN - NIGHT

    They stop at a modest, almost run down little tavern. Itsdrab white and black signs alien letters faded to almostillegibility.

    UVEREThis is it.

    INT. FADER TAVERN - NIGHT

    As Dbronze and Uvere enter and approach the worn counterwe, SWITCH FOCUS to:

    RAPHAEL & HIS CREW.

    They sit in a booth finishing off a big breakfast by thelooks of things. Raphael smirks as he glances off screen.

    STONEYeah.

    RUFUS(shrugs)

    Stone, Rufus and Eve all slide across the seat and out ofthe booth. Raphael raises an eyebrow at Toad.

    RAPHAELYou joinin us?

    TOADNiest. Still hungry.

    Raphael chuckles and as he turns to leave he gives Jenna aquick kiss on the lips. As soon as hes out of sight sheplaces her hand on Toads and squeezes.

    JENNA(whispers)

    One more night and well be freeof him. And everyone else.

    TOAD(smiles)

    Just thinking on it.(lowered)

    Were going to be wealthier thaneven we can comprehend, afterweve disposed of all that rush.

    JENNA

    (sly)Lets get out of here. He wonteven notice were gone.

    TRACK with Jenna and Toad as they start to sneak out, butwe STAY ON the booth behind them where a short woman, mid-thirties with hazel brown hair, SYL and her partner GARAMare currently eating.

    SYL (V.O.)I know a way we can repayRakefield.

    SWITCH FOCUS to a dart as it SLICES through the air on itsway to a brightly coloured board. It HITS the bulls eyesplitting another dart already there.

    PULLBACK to see Raphael with a self satisfied grin. Rufus

    and Stone chuckle.

    ARC AROUND to the counter where Dbronze and Uvere sit,watching them from a short distance.

    DBRONZE(sighs)

    I cant stand that sleazydajinka. Yet here I am doin hisdirty work.

    (off Uvere)Ai! Its damn near fressin

    impossible to say no to Tazulwhen she does them eyes. Howdshe manage to rope ya in?

    UVEREMy concern for the unfortunatesouls wholl die from ingestingtainted drugs.

    DBRONZEYa ask me, aint much of a loss.Bunch of soft touches who need talearn to deal with the harshrealities of the universe.

    UVEREEven if thats so Dbronze, Idoubt they deserve to die, whenthey were most probably justlooking to have a good time.

    Chardonnae sips a thick, blood red drink from a champagneglass as Tazul, Sara and Selene sit listening.

    CHARDONNAEIts no coincidence that twosolar days after my suppliers arerobbed, the market here isflooded with tainted rush.

    SELENE

    I cant believe you dragged Tazul-us, all the way here for this.Dont you have people that handlethese situations?

    CHARDONNAEIf you wouldve allowed me tofinish, the tainted rush haskilled twenty yorlund club goerspresently. With the figure set torise if the thieves manage tosell the entire shipment.

    TAZULAnd as one of the major rushdistributors, the huntersnaturally assume youre behindit.

    CHARDONNAE(nods)

    Thats not all. Caplans leadingthe primary squad. Hes got theentire place surrounded.

    Tazuls expression turns sombre at the mention of his name.Sara looks from Tazuls now serious expression to Selenesmarginally more annoyed than usual expression.

    SARAFrom the looks on your faces Imguessing this Caplan guy is badnews?

    TAZULI need you to go with Selene andfollow her instructions exactly,

    understand?

    TAZUL(to Sara and Selene)

    Take the basement exit to thesewers and go to the closest,most crowded public area. Staythere until I contact you.

    SARAWhat about you and Chardonnae?

    TAZULCaplan wont be able to resistthe chance to capture bothChardonnae andmyself. Hes stilla little sore over an incident inGrzom twenty years ago.

    Chardonnae smiles fondly at an old memory whilst Selenefrowns her disapproval as the scene FREEZES.

    CHARDONNAE (V.O)Those were the days.... Right. Onwith the story.

    The scene resumes again with:

    SELENEBe careful.

    SARAGood luck.

    TAZULLo Mokol. Now if youll excuse usweve got a distraction to start.

    EXT. ABREGADO APARTMENTS - NIGHT

    A seedy, run down complex where nobody asks questions andeveryone minds their own business.

    INT. ABREGARDO APARTMENTS - NIGHT

    Dbronze and Uvere pull on a black balaclava. Both wearingsilver utility belts that FLASH every few seconds. Uveregently pats his belt almost affectionately.

    UVEREI wasnt planning on their firstofficial run to be so eventful.Theres a high risk they could

    get damaged.

    DBRONZEWe could always just go with myplan if ya that concerned.

    UVEREYouve a plan now? Im certain Idistinctly heard somethingearlier, about smashing in theentrance, grabbing the propertyand running like harn.

    DBRONZE(smiles)

    Its simple. Whats not to like?

    They both stop at:

    INT. ABREGADO APARTMENTS - APARTMENT 81 - NIGHT

    Dbronze keeps watch as Uvere crouches outside a metal doorhis hand over the black panel inset in the door.

    UVERE (V.O.)

    Subtlety is key. Here hold thestun charges.

    He presses a small bag into Dbronzes palm.

    INT. APARTMENT 81 - STASH ROOM - NIGHT

    Raphael sits behind a black table where the money now sitssorted into discrete piles. The rest of the crew sit orstand waiting expectantly for something.

    RAPHAELToad.

    Toad eagerly steps up as Raphael SLIDES a pile of notesover to him. His grin falters as he quickly thumbs through

    the wad.

    TOADThis it?

    RAPHAELYoull see your cut improvingwhen you bring a big job to thegroup.

    (deadly)Until then, shut it.

    (friendlier)

    Rufus youre-

    SMASH! The door to the room is violently kicked open. Fourdiscs WHIRR through the air immediately after.

    FWOOSH! White smoke BILLOWS out and an intense bright whitelight EXPLODES the retinas as, we:

    WHITE OUT:

    INT. APARTMENT 81 - STASH ROOM - NIGHT

    A dazed Raphael still sits at the black table. The otherbandits all in similar states of disorientation.

    The cash and green pills are SWEPT off the table by whatappears to be an invisible force into a very visible blackbag that seems to HOVER by itself in the air.

    CLOSE UP on Toad whose right hand clutches his wad ofcurrency despite his disorientation.

    UVERE (V.O.)Dbronze let him be. Weve gotmost of it. The effects of the

    charges are wearing off.

    The hovering black bag quickly moves over to the doorway.

    A recovering Raphael straightens up at the unusual sightbefore him. Angry red streams of light BURST forth fromboth his palms. He HURLS them at the area either side ofthe bag.

    The black bag DROPS to the ground and with a loud CRACKLEDbronze and Uvere both appear sprawled on the ground.

    We ANGLE ON their belts to see that both have a smallblackened hole burnt right through the metal. Theyimmediately scramble to their feet.

    Dbronze slings the bag over his shoulders while Uvere

    looks despondently down at his belt. It crackles weaklyevery few seconds.

    UVERE (CONTD)Looks like Ill have to retrofityou with a back up system when weget home.

    Dbronze eyes the approaching group than looks to Uvere.

    DBRONZESo much for your subtlety idea.

    (cracks his knuckles)Now this is moremy fressinstyle.

    EXT. THE WAYLANDER - TRANSPORT BAY - NIGHT

    CLOSE UP on Chardonnae and Tazul in a shiny red transportchatting away as Tazul leisurely guides it off the dockingplatform.

    PULLBACK to reveal one of the hunters, Piers watching themwith binoculars in a blue transport, parked a few platformsaway.

    PIERSShould we follow them?

    Rufus waves his hand and the Kusari Fundo closest to himICES up. With the other chain, Uvere smoothly CRACKS himacross the shoulder and abdomen, dropping him with a

    painful groan.

    SWITCH FOCUS to Dbronze who now easily walks over to thetemporarily blinded Toad.

    He taps Toad on the shoulder who blearily attempts to focuson Dbronze. A solid JAB to the face K.Os him.

    DBRONZE (CONTD)Take that, ya fat slaug.

    JUMP TO Uvere as he GRITS his teeth, stuck in a tug of waras Eve gestures grabbing. His Kusari Fundo TUGGED violentlyby an invisible force.

    With a painful GASP, he loses his grip on them. Evesmirking as she CATCHES them both.

    EVEOh dear.

    SMACK! Eve STAGGERS back as a silver utility belt HITS herhard in the face.

    Uvere seizes the distraction pulling his Kusari Fundo

    easily from her hands.

    And with a THWACK! The chains snap and TWIST around hershins. Uvere tugs and she CRASHES bodily to the ground. Outfor the count.

    PUSH IN on the end of the counter where Sara and Selene sitnursing drinks. Sara scrutinizes the very bright blue drinkin front of her while Selene drains hers without a thought.

    SARASo its safe to drink?

    SELENEOnly one way to find out.

    SWITCH FOCUS to Syl and Garam at the other end of the

    counter. A blue skinned man busily serves drinks. A sleek,black breathing apparatus covering most of his face.

    SYL(to the bartender)

    You cant think of one personwhod be interested? Come on,Restes you must have heardsomething.

    RESTES(heavy; filtered)

    My knowledge of local drug baronsis non existent. Youre askingthe wrong person.

    BACK TO Sara sipping her drink warily as Selene seems to bediscreetly watching Syl and Garam. A mottled brown andgreen patron with horns either side of his head approachesSelene. He glances at the empty bar stool beside her.

    The red craft turns on its side and reverses SPEEDING backthe way it just came. It passes the tailing blue transportstuck in a congested pocket of sky.

    The red craft HURTLING straight down, passing numeroustransports that dangerously ZIP by.

    Piers GRIPS his navigation wheel as he attempts to follow.

    Selene shrugs a nonchalant whats her problem? at Tazul.

    He discreetly looks around before he leans in.

    Toad, Stone and Eve look up distracted as Raphael CRASHESthrough the mirror and lands in a heap.
