Age UK Solihull is a local charity, with over 35 years’ experience of
working on behalf of older people in the borough of Solihull (previously
as Age Concern).
Our vision is to help older people maintain their independence, health and
well-being and support them with the challenges faced in later life. This could
be anything from finding a reputable tradesperson, to benefits advice, winter
warmth and energy efficiency and providing companionship. Each year, we
help over 20,000 older people on a range of issues.
We are a brand partner to the national Age UK organisation, who campaign
for older people nationally, whilst we deliver services locally. As such, we have
our own registered charity number and all the money raised from your event
will stay within your local community here in Solihull.
By supporting Age UK Solihull with your sponsored event, you will help us
continue our vital work. For example, just £10 will help us provide a volunteer
to visit a lonely, isolated older person. With one of the fastest growing ageing
populations in the West Midlands, the demand for services in Solihull
continues to climb, and therefore so too does our demand for funding.
