Genesis 1: 26-27Then God said, “Let Us make man

in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have

dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air,

and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping

thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female

He created them.

A Man and his Lord (Genesis 1:26-28)

When God created man He did so with a desire to have a relationship with him. (Genesis 3:8)God is searching for man in his absence and hiding because of his sin. (Genesis 3:9) Sin is the great separator—Christ is the Great arbitrator!God is always pursuing us even when we are hiding from Him.

When a mother comes to

Christ, 17% of the family will follow her to Church.

When a father comes to Christ, 93% of his family will follow him to Church and to faith in Christ.

Today there are thirteen more women in church than men each Sunday.

70% of our boys will leave church in their teens and twenties.

The man is the greatest evangelism and discipleship tool missing from our churches.

Dr. Pat Morley, Man in the Mirror addressed the subject about four kinds of fathers:

Disconnected Father – This father is the one who does not care enough to provide structure for his children.Authoritarian Father – This is the father who builds fear instead of trust into his children.Permissive Father – This is the father who would rather be a best friend than a dad.Affirming Father – This is the father who shapes the heart and destiny of his children.
