• My animal is a bird.• Its scientific name is Nyctea Scandiaca• The lifespan for my animal is 8-10 years.

Physical characteristics

• When they’re chicks they have grey down , and when they are adults they are white with grey and black dots.

• They weigh about 4-6 pounds ,and its length is 21-26 inches.

• This animal has feathers.• My animal has wings that help it fly freely

through the air.

Habitat

• It lives in the North pole high arctic area; breeds in the tundra far north Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Europe, and Asia.

• The climate is usually snowy.

Behaviors

• This animal eats small animals or carcasses of Seals or Arctic Foxes.

• It can get food by either hunting for small animals or it can find a carcass to eat.

• This animal lays eggs.• This animal can have a range of 2-16

eggs but they usually have 5-7 eggs.

Interesting facts

• This owl protects itself by hiding in the snow and then the color of its feathers help it blend in.

• It takes 30-33 days for the eggs to hatch• Also because of its yellow and round eyes

in some countries its called the Cat Owl.
