the charlottetown festival launches 2015 season
DESCRIPTION
Confederation Centre's Charlottetown Festival announced an ambitious schedule for 2015, with five shows in total on its three stages. After 50 successful seasons, and a Guinness World Record, it is no surprise that Anne of Green Gables - The Musical TM will return. This year it will run in repertory with the popular Alice Through the Looking-Glass, coming to Charlottetown from Ottawa's NAC and Stratford Festival. The Charlottetown Festival believes in woman power, and the successful original musical Evangeline returns to the stage for a September-October run before moving on to Edmonton's Citadel Theatre. Bitter Girls - The Musical has its world premiere at The Mack, Confederation Centre's cabaret theatre. Adding tunes from the 60s and 70s to this popular franchise is bound to make a hit show. And in Studio Theatre, the heart-warming and humorous Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad will run through the summer.TRANSCRIPT
