First, since the start, God has put the entire world into our care. Second, stewardship has been around since the beginning of mankind, it isn’t something recently invented by the Church. Just as past generations built our Church, it is now our responsibility to continue to nurture and develop these gifts for future generations. The Voice of God During my time as seminarian I experienced an event that was very meaningful for me and for all the young men in formation at that time, namely, the installation of 3 new bells at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary. From that day onward the sound of the bells introduced and accented every meaningful moment of the life of the Seminary: the different hours of prayer dedicated to the Breviary, the daily celebration of Mass, the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the call of important formational meetings,… all those moments were preceded by the tolling of the bells and we knew that if the bells were ringing we had to leave everything and go. Our Rector then put it in a very simple but beautiful way: “The bells are the voice of God calling you to intimacy with him, they are a reminder that God is constantly looking for you to have a relationship with you”. Thus for me the bells are always the voice of God calling me to be with Him. That is why I am so glad that we were able to restore the bells of St. Theresa’s and that now we can hear their ringing ten minutes before each weekend Mass, every morning 10 minutes before the 9:00am Mass and every day at Midday and at 6:00pm (Angelus). Somebody was telling me that he grew up in Kenilworth hearing their sound in the neighborhood, and all of a sudden they stopped and it was like something that was part of their daily life was missing. Now every time he hears them, he is brought back to his younger years, and I was thinking: who knows how many people will be reached by this sound (Catholic and non- Catholic) and they will turn their thoughts—even for a moment—to the Lord and to his goodness to all. Yes, I am sure the bells will make us all feel younger and more joyful in the spirit. “Bless the LORD, O My Soul who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things,so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.…” (From Psalm 103) Have a blessed Sunday! Fr. Giovanni

“So out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.” (GENESIS 2:19) The creation story reminds us of two important points. The Voice of God

During my time as seminarian I experienced an event that was very meaningful for me and for all the young men in formation at that time, namely, the installation of 3 new bells at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary.
