Jfr. Selbie reported the result of his interview with the Board of Tra.de, who would not foN"go tht'ir conditions for doing without the 13 track circuits mentioned.

In reply to yours of the 6th instant, re the a.hove subject, I see no reason why the Rpee<l re.;triction of 15 miles per hour through the Tho.me:i Tunnel should not be withdrawn when the c:lecLrification works ha,·e been carried out, a.nd a. speed limit of 30 miles per hour substituted for all pa.ssengl•r trains, over the ;~~~~d libee,6:~~1~ the exception of St. Marys, Whit.echapel Junction, where a. liooit of :20 miles per hoJr
