Within the framework of:

15 and 16 June / Barcelona / Catalonia

Barcelona is made-to-measure for

entrepreneurs and so is Catalonia, one of

most dynamic regions in Europe in terms

of entrepreneurial activities. Creativity,

ideas, innovation, access to finance, grants

from public institutions, opportunities for

self-employment, company start-ups and

business growth will all be coming together

at the new Bizbarcelona show being

launched by the Fira de Barcelona at its

Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. We are expecting

more than 12,000 entrepreneurs, innovators

and investors to attend the event.

Bizbarcelona encompasses in a single event the

traditional Entrepreneurs’ Day and the innovation

summit HiT Barcelona, in addition to other activities

associated with entrepreneurship being organized

in the Catalan capital by different organizations and

institutions.

Bizbarcelona has been structured in such a way that

anyone who wants to create a business or grow

their company can find inspiration, practical solutions,

useful information, support, advice and, above all,

financing—one of the major elements of the show.

Indeed, Barcelona is the recipient of one third

of all the investments in Spain by venture

capitalists seeking business projects in the seed

phase. Bizbarcelona will be playing host to the

representatives of some 40 venture capital firms

and business angels to whom you can present your

ideas and business plans.

In addition, the show will be organizing more than 50

workshops and conferences on the practical aspects

associated with creating companies and accelerating

business growth, as well as numerous networking

sessions for fostering relations, exchanging views

and experiences and encouraging collaborations

between entrepreneurs.

There will also be a trade fair area with franchise

operators, companies offering products and

services for SMEs, self-employed professionals and

entrepreneurs, financial institutions, consultants,

insurance companies, public institutions and training

centres.

If you are an entrepreneur, have a business idea,

want to open a franchise, expand your company’s

activities or even internationalize your business, this

event is an absolute must.

On 15 and 16 June, Barcelona will be all about Biz... and so will you!

What is Networking?

It is people’s capacity to manage a network of contacts, whether professional or personal. This network of con-tacts is made up of family members, friends, fellow stu-dents, work colleagues, professional contacts, etc.

What is it useful for?

Efficiently enlarging your network of contacts gives you greater skills when it comes to managing your career and helping you develop and advance to achieve your goals.

Description

The Speed Networking sessions are structured so that in the course of one hour you can talk to approximately 20 different people.

Before you come to the session, we recommend that you prepare your presentation message in advance to make the best use of your time. We have prepared a template to help you structure your ideas and optimize your 90-second slot.

As this activity is open to everyone, you will have the chance to practice your message on all kinds of different people and to make contact with people who, a priori, you would not otherwise have met.

Remember that the goal is not to firm up deals or close sales or collect business cards but to make the people you talk to want to find out more about you and/or your project and to help you disseminate your message to the largest number of people.

Dynamics

You will be seated opposite the other person and will have 90 seconds each to exchange your messages.

The activity coordinator will let you know as soon as your 180 seconds are up. One of you should then move on to another chair to make the presentation to another per-son, and so on.
