MPF (Multi Purpose Filter) for small flow rates

The most diverse uses where low volume flows are needed

Small and compact, but unique in its uses - this is the latest member of our product range of filter housings. Depending on application, the MPF filter housing can be equipped with a micro filter or a monitor element. If two housings installed in series are used, a small filter water separator can be implemented. The first housing has a coalescing element, the second a separator element. Thus, the MPF (multi-purpose filter) can be used with four different element types. The filter housing is available in three element lengths: 10, 15 and 30 inch, with 2 inch outer diameter each. Depending on application and element type, use for volume flows of 22 to 110 l/min is thus possible. If higher volume flows are needed, several MPF can be operated in parallel. A filtration and separation solution with a micro filter and a downstream coalescing/separator combination can be produced quickly and easily with three MPF housings installed in

series. A coalescing/separator combination with downstream monitor filter can be implemented in the same manner.All of this opens up the usage options of the MPF

in fuelling of smaller aircraft and helicopters. When using other element types, the possible applications also include fuelling of smaller water craft, construction site vehicles and agricultural use.

New representation for Eaton Carter® Ground Fueling

Since 02 March 2015, the products of EATON-CARTER® (known for underwing nozzles and hyd-rant couplers) have been sold in the economic areas of Europe, Middle East and Africa by ALJAC Fueling Components Ltd. in Middlesex, UK, exclusively.

ALJAC Fueling Components Ltd. is a long-term FAUDI Aviation GmbH distributor and now sells not only its own products, ISOIL Meters/Italy, GAMMON Technical Products/USA but also represents the Carter® products.

We wish our distributor great success with this new challenge in the ground handling area.

From 01 April 2015 onwards, our sales team is reinforced by a new sales manager. We are happy to welcome Mr. Walter Spitzner in our company. Mr. Spitzner is 51 years old, married and has three children. To compensate for his professional life, he plays volleyball and is a skiing enthusiast. Born in Austria, his other hobbies, of course, include mountain hiking. Mr. Spitzner also enjoys longer tours through the beautiful Austrian mountain world on his motorcycle. In addition to his job and hobbies, family is, of course, of the utmost importance to him.

His training as a mechanical engineer was followed by engineering studies and the degree of Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) in Gießen. After his studies, Mr. Spitzner held various positions in his former training operation. Last, he was responsible for a turnover volume of approx. 13 M Euro as sales manager. During extended stays abroad for his company, Mr. Spitzner was able to collect further valuable experience that he would now like to use for us together with knowledge accumulated over more than 16 years. We wish him great success on this way and are looking forward to a good cooperation.

Seminars 1st Train The Trainer Seminar in 2015

We held the first of the four train the trainer seminars planned for 2015 at our company from March 25th to 26th.The participants came from German airport fuelling companies and tank farms from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hahn, Hamburg, Mönchengladbach, Munich, Raunheim and Stuttgart.During the seminar, we taught about the basics and necessity of filtration and separation of aircraft fuels. On the other hand, the different specifications of the EU (Energy Institute) were dealt with in greater detail. The participants learned which specifications are to be observed for which applications and filtration units. An excursion to Medieval Marburg with a subsequent shared dinner in a traditional restaurant was the successful conclusion of the first seminar day.

15 persons are guests at our German-speaking seminarWith a practical training at our test bench, the seminar participants were able to reinforce the knowledge gained about the different filter containers on the second day. After sharing a lunch snack and handing out the participation certificates, the guests went on their partially rather long way home.The positive responsible from the participants shows us that we contribute essentially to more professionalism in handling of the different filter devices and thus increased safety in aviation with this seminar offer.

Knowledge The manuals and specifications of the EI (Energy Institute)

We have to deal with diverse standards, requirements and specifications in our daily work. In addition to the JIG-Guidelines, directives of the Energy Institute must be observed as well, at least in procurement of technical devices and spare parts. A lot has happened in the area of EI specifications in the last years. Do you know which specification is binding for which application? For you as the user, it is also important what specifications or process instructions are included in the EI specifications relevant for you. For us as manufacturers, these specifications are

mandatory. All of our device types and filter elements must be qualified by various EI tests for the use in the aviation fuel area before marketing. What do these specifications mean for you in your daily work? We want to provide you with an overview of the different EI specifications and their application.

Until now, all filter water separators were applied with a name plate in accordance with EI 1581, all micro filters in accordance with EI 1590 and all filter monitors in in accordance with EI 1583. What has changed is that all new filter containers now need to be applied with a name plate in accordance with EI 1596 and an additional one for the installed elements. The operating name plate then indicates the EI specification that is binding
