From Judah, Zion, and in the secret place of the Almight-Adonai Yahweh the Magnifi cent Father, to African Revelations, to the Battle of Gifted Tongues, to the Agitators Awards, to Grapghi-consult, to Kampala Serena, to Ethiopian Airlines, to the spiriru-al-intellectual who desire after the holiness and the righteousness of the Living One, Via the Malabo Fashion Week in Equatorial Guinea. Let me take this grandiose opening to talk you through the 2nd edition of the Gifted Tongues Magazine.

To many on the sidelines of his life and those who seem to be on the closest edge of his life, Po’Auli is best known for his unique ability to capture the Zion sound of Victory, Glory and Honor of God to his generation and transmitting it in ways prior unimaginable.

Like the symbolic Jewish Shofar-a rum’s horn that was used in ancient Jewish/Hebraic times to rally a chosen and sanctifi ed generation to warefare/battle in the spiritual context of fervent prayer, repentence, sacrifi ce, and obedience-Po’Auli emits a daz-zling sound packaged to reveal and to manifest the victory, Glory and the Honor of the Lord God to a generation whose life and character embodies the burden carriers of the Ark of the cove-nant/ the mantle of God which has pitched camp on the continent of Sunkist mother Africa,Hence turning this feminist continent into the hope and salvation headquarters of the entire world.

Find out what you did not know about Po’Auli-this son of a vi-sionary black woman who hailed from the villages of Africa, a woman who taught Po’Auli the possibility of achieving so much but yet with little or no facilitation at all, and the man who worked hammer and tongs for him to get a decent education.

All of this in our cover story that entirely focuses on Po’Auli’s mission to uplift a generation to great heights in God. Then check out for yourself the amazing and powerful level at which the fashion industry in Africa is shaking the world like a tsunami in a story designed to celebrate the richness of African fabric and the vision of Africa’s fashion designers who often times than not receive very little or no recognize at all in the Malabo Fashion week that took place in April in Malabo-the capital of Equatorial Guinea.

Africa celebrates Economic growth; At the New York Economic Forum for

Africa“As Europe is riddled with doubt and its economy suffers. Here in Africa it is green for go, some African states have registered remarkable economic growth. Still many problems persist, poverty, a population explosion, health and security issues and need for good governance. Still, Africans are not turning their backs on the problems. Here they exchange ideas and initiate and develop programs. The New York Forum Africa in Libreville, Gabon is showcase for Afro-optimism.”

8

Page 9: The Gifted Tongues Magazine

The emergence of African development concentrates on the the capital ‘I’ Independence for example. The fight against violence, the battle to end corruption and the flow of capital out of the continent. As much as 1.3 billion US dollars leaves the continent, that is four times the external debt of Africa. Africa is not a coherent entity, but a mosaic of 54 countries made up of 1500 ethnic groupings. Africa needs geo-strategic innovations to impose itself on the international stage. Fatou Bensouda is a prosecutor from International Criminal Court: “You cannot have peace and security without jus-tice. So in all of these efforts that we are making on the continent, on development, on economic develop-ment, we must factor in the need for justice, you must have rule of law, you must have accountability. This is an atmosphere in which development can take place.”Mohamed el Keittani CEO Attijariwafa Bank:“ I think all African and international investors have made it plain to decision makers that we need to acel-erate reforms to our judicial system.” Ivor Ichikowitz, is the founder and executive chairman of the Paramount Group:

“Economies like Nigeria are growing at rates the world has never seen before. So the truth is that no one country can lead this rise. A group of African countries need to get together and make this rise a reality. I’ve been calling for a long time for a collaboration between the major economies of Africa. A collaboration which is similar to the collaboration that makes BRICS works. I’ve been talking about a pan-African BRICS, I’ve been talking a BRICS concept that brings these large econ-omies together and allows them to create policy which would interface with outside investors and other BRICS countries”. “The continent posted an annual growth of close to five percent over the last decade. But for that growth to impact on the wider population infrastructure must be improved. With 200 million people aged between 15 and 24, Africa has the youngest population in the world, and it will double by 2045. It is therefore important to integrate growth to help the 150 million unemployed and African leaders must invest.”

(Exodus 34:6-7-6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 main-taining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpun-ished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”

Luke 2:41-52-Every year Jesus’ parents went to Je-rusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 after the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 after three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understand-ing and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.)

In ancient Hebrew essence, the number 13 is attributed to so many things but most importantly it stands tall to signify God himself, the love of God, the mercy of God, and the oneness of God/the perfect will of God. In addition, several scholars have gone further to attribute the number 13 to the one-on-one lesson that God teaches Moses on Mt. Sinai at Roshana-(the day that marks the

beginning of the new Jewish year). In this lesson God teaches Moses about the 13 attributes of mercy which includes:

(-The Lord! God is merciful before a person sins! Even though aware that future evil lies dormant within him,The Lord! (Adonai)--God is merciful after the sinner has gone astra., God (El)--a name that denotes power as ruler over nature and humankind, indicating that God’s mercy sometimes surpasses even the degree indicated by this name.Compassion-ate (rahum)--God is filled with loving sympathy for human frailty does not put people into situations of extreme temptation, and eases the punishment of the guilty, Gracious (v’hanun)--God shows mercy even to those who do not deserve it consoling the afflicted and raising up the oppressed, Slow to anger (ereh apayim)--God gives the sinner ample time to reflect, improve, and repent. Abundant in Kindness (v’rav hesed)--God is kind toward those who lack personal merits, providing more gifts and bless-ings than they deserve; if one’s personal behavior is evenly balanced between virtue and sin, God tips the scales of justice toward the good, Truth (v’emet)--God never reneges on His word to reward those who serve Him.Preserver of kindness for thousands of generations (notzeir hesed la-alafim)--God remembers the deeds of the righteous for thebenefit of their less virtuous generations of offspring (thus we constantly invoke the merit of the Patriarchs).Forgiver of iniquity (nosei avon)--God for-gives intentional sin resultin from an evil disposition, as long as the sinner repents, Forgiver of willful sin (pesha),God allows even those who commit a sin with the malicious intent of rebelling against and angering Him the opportunity to repent. Forgiver of error (v’hata’ah)--God forgives a sin committed out of carelessness, thoughtlessness, or apathy, Who cleanses (v’nakeh)--God is merciful, gracious, and forgiving, wiping away the sins of those who truly repent; however, if one does not repent, God does not cleanse).

All these attributes are available to the children of God in Exo-dus 34:6-7 right after the incidence of the Golden Calf. Hence reminding us that every now and then we fall short of the grace

11

Page 12: The Gifted Tongues Magazine

of God, we can always go through this 13 step lesson in order to draw the mercy of God back unto us.

Once the mercy of God is drawn unto a man, the favor of God comes speedily unto that man in order for that man to effectively carry out the assignment of God over that man’s life. Thus in 2013 the favor of God shall come unto the man and woman of God’s assignment in order for that man to shine brightly in the event of the assignment.

Consequently in 2013, if you are a man of God’s assignment all the resources you require (most especially economic re-sources and social resources) so as to accomplish the assign-ment of God upon your life. These resources shall be able to meet you from different directions because your life is the destiny of major economic and social resources (money, and people).

In the book of St. Luke 2:41-52, we find Jesus in Jerusalem having arrived with his parents at the age of 12yrs to cele-brate the Passover festival. A very significant festival in the life of every Jewish man because apart from being a celebra-tion of freedom from bondage, it’s also a celebration to mark the passing away of one season and the coming of another season in God; Jesus is 12yrs before the Passover festival but imme-diately after the Passover festival all his actions and character seemingly suggest that he has become a 13yr old. This is evidenced in the prominent, superior, and important way he carries himself in the temple as though he is 13yrs and not 12yrs.

This is significant because in the Jewish temple no boy is allowed to question and engage in any manner of discussion until he is 13yrs.

If he was still 12yrs there is no way he would have been capable to voice himself without the protest of the temple officials.

But because Jesus is qualified by tradition to form a quorum of men, no one protests his position and place at the center stage of the temple.

In 2013 every woman and man of divine assignment shall operate at the center stage of life and no one will dare protest and contest your position of prominence, superiority ,and relevancy because you qualified to be at the center stage of life the moment you glided into 2013.

In Luke 2:46, the parents of Jesus have been looking for him for the last three days and they finally find him in the temple sitting with the Jewish teachers.

They are disturbed and perturbed because they have failed to appreciate that they came to Jerusalem with a boy but im-mediately after the Passover festival the boy just turned into

a man.

And the difference is in the level of independence-a man is more independent of himself than a boy, a man depends more on God than he does his own biological parents.

In 2013 you will depend more on God than you depend on the sons and daughters of men. You will focus more on your Fathers’ business than you focus on the affairs of men.

In 2013 you will find yourself sited among renowned prominent people at the center stage of life not as one begging and seeking to depend on their resources but as one whose knowledge, under-standing is being sought after in exchange for economic wealth.

In 2013 you will not seek to depend and beg from men of promi-nence because you are more superior in prominence and relevancy; you will be begged and depended upon so that people can go to the next level in God.

2013 is not another year, a time and another season in your life-time but it’s a place and a position of prominence, superiority and relevancy.

In 2013 God is positioning and placing you to be prominent, superior and relevant, He is positioning you to have answers-to-questions that nobody will ever have but you. God is positioning you in 2013 to have solutions to problems that no one has but you.

To make money like nobody knows how to make money. To drive in what nobody drives in, to live so well like nobody lives. To dress-up so well like nobody knows, to have impact so well like nobody knows. 2013 is that place and position ordained by God for everything to climax for you.

In all his life Jesus always knew that the climax of his life’s assign-ment was to endure in Jerusalem-the most prominent, superior, and relevant geographical landmark on the face of the earth. He knew that,” if I be lifted up in Jerusalem, then I will draw all men unto me”.

2013 is a landmark place in your life because it’s the center stage ordained by God before time, history, and eternity for you to come into oneness and unity, and together with the promises of God over your life.

Economic and social resources will be poured into you as water is poured into a container not by one but by many. And as economic and social resources pour into your life so shall your life’s purpose and destiny expand and advance. In 2013 many people will come to help you accomplish the assign-ment of God over your life being motivated by the rewards that only God can give.

12

Page 13: The Gifted Tongues Magazine

In 2013 you shall be both God and men’s center of attrac-tion and as a result both God and men will favor you just like in Luke 2:52 when Jesus lives Jerusalem at age 13yrs to go back to Nazareth with his parents while gaining favor with God and people, due to the fact that you are to be God’s center of attraction in 2013.

They is going to be a reverse of the routine; normally when you have a need in God, you run to God with a seed but this time men will run to you with a seed to take care of your needs because they know God shall multiply their seeds into a great harvest.

And God also will run to you in order to solve your neediness every now and then you come across a need. 2013 is when the infinite makes the finite its center of attraction, in order for the anointing of God to fully oper-ate in your life without interruption; you will have to be required to walk away from something that has always been your object of pride and comfort. And if you are not willing to walk away then the anoint-ing will cut you off and then bring you into connection with an object of great pride and amazing comfort, more advanced than your past experiences.

In 2013 life will start for you, you may think you have been living but in 2012 your life shall experience levels you did not dream about- levels of life that shall place you at the center stage of life not because of your family/edu-cation background but because of the pure knowledge of God that is on you by revelation.

Observantly, the three wise men were able to follow the leading of the star of Jesus even when they were many stars in the sky because the star of Jesus was the brightest.

In 2013 Jesus is making you his bright star and you will be so bright that your capacity, potential and ability in God shall hide itself not. It shall be right in every body’s face to see to them that matter and to them that matter not.

Last but not least, in 2013 the promised and the promise will collide head-to-head and the aftermath of this great collusion will bring about economic expansion and social advancement in your assignment, life, and purpose.

In 2013 you will come across a divine discovery in God Almighty and this discovery shall catapult your life to a whole new status of glory, victory, and Honor.

This is so because at the age of 13yrs, Jesus is up sitting in the temple in Jerusalem, then he begins to pose questions to the members of the prayer quorum not for his personal information but for the listeners’ edification.

He has answers to the questions he is posing to the quorum which seemingly has no clue of the questions

that Jesus is asking.

For the scripture declares that he was asking questions but then they were amazed at his intelligent answers, which means he asked a question to which answer he had already.

He has answers to the questions he is posing to the quorum as a way of setting in motion an opportunity for himself so as to be able to contribute and introduce a level of God in the temple that shall bring forth deliverance, healing and a major breakthrough to the people in the house of God.

And the quorum is amazed because of Jesus’ intelligent answers cause in his answers; they discover something in God that their experiences have never allowed them to discover.

In 2013 everyone who has been protesting, contesting, arguing and competing against you will come to oneness and in agreement with the truth of God that was revealed unto you.

In 2013 you will be prominent, superior, and relevant in every-thing you do not because you are so uncanny but because of the pure knowledge of God upon your life by revelation. Everything you have invested your life’s efforts is going to climax due to the fact that prominent, superior and relevant resources are going to meet you at that place where your life’s efforts have been invested

Kimbugwe Muzaphal’s vision for Mbarara Municipality

6 Questions with Madam Janat

KayondoDirector Jakayz

Secondary School

For how long have you been in the teaching profession? My name is Janat kayondo

I have been a teacher for the last 17 years as a professional and did teacher before I became a professional from my form 6 vacation up to the time of graduation ie 4yrs more.i have been able to teach at all levels from nurs-ery, primary while at silver spoon, secondary at Taibah, Sayidina Abubaker S.S Kabasanda, Islamic university in Uganda for over 7 years

And when was your first teaching posting?

I was at Taibah high school pioneer site Kawempe

How old is Jakayz Secondary School?

Jakayz is 3years old.

In your school mission there is a place where it is stated that “Jakayz is where life skills training is the way to go for students” to what extent is that pivotal to your competi-tive advantage?

We appreciate that until we(educationists-schools) have empowered students with skill of survival, the school are not yet doing enough to help our students to learn. The student must get out of the box. Therefore creative and critical thinking for problem solving is the way to go in this generation.Students must be exposed, with co-curricular programme like debate-part of the gifted tongs, drama, compose songs, play badmin-ton, volleyball, football, Quran competitions, etc

Relate to us the relevancy of the education system in Africa to the job market on the continent?

The education that does not enable learners to have a free mind, the school should only help to facilitate them to achieve to their callings, in the world of work.Jobs are now a very big challenge! Unless students are helped to think outside the box, they can do anything. There is a lot of poten-tial and opportunities as long as the mind is open.

And finally how is it imperative for parents out there to bring their students to Jakayz secondary School?

Jakayz ss is the place in this tough going times, we help a student to tap his/her potential. With us every student counts as an individual but not a mere math-ematical number of the population in the school. We also work with parents to show the guidance and help them to plan the child’s career. All children are able to practice their religious affiliations as they are confessed.

2013 is for global nomads to enjoy; from the Tiger temple in Bangkok Thailand to Cape Town (Africa’s most beautiful city) and finally to Europe’s foodie

22

Page 23: The Gifted Tongues Magazine

Namibia- An Eco-deluxe arena that has got nothing to do with (Brangelina) - Namibia is largely a desert coun-try found on the west African coast has surprising gained dominating ground in the eco-tourism industry of Af-rica barely two decades of independence from South Africa. Must check out attractions include the Etosha National park comprising of several government run camp-site like Namutoni plus check into the kempinski Hotels.

Malawi- Can you imagine some batch of irrespon-sible citizens of the world (possibly pop-idol worship-pers) have in recent years accredited the safari over-flow to Mrs. Madonna. Am absolutely sorry Mrs. Madonna even though I respect your untiring efforts to adopt one of us but I beg to defer and give credit where it’s due. I therefore would like to appreciate the Malawian government for putting in place proper in-frastructures tourism and hospitality facilities that have remarkably turned Malawi a must –visit destination.

Mozambique- Here we are talking about 1,500 miles of pris-tine coastline styled and fashioned into fair trade tourist destina-tion. The country for itself has achieved the impossible by mak-ing aparadigm shift from a little known war-torn African nation to an economic success story. The best spot for visitors in Mozam-bique; it’s the Bazaruto, Archipelago, home to endangered wild cows.

New York- A global nomad male of mine once told me the New York City has the world’s ugliest drive from air-port to city, horrible hedge-fund guys and publicist. How-ever in 2013 it all looks like it shall not be all about irritating hedge-fund guys but rather Broadway yes….i said Broadway

Istanbul, Turkey- Ignore the protests on the street but just like New York, an inter-medley of assorted cultures: yet inspite of the cultural mix Istanbul the world’s best city as famed by the wallpa-per magazine a few years ago, is a city known more for its food and restaurants than its architectural glamour. Here is where you

Kilimanjaro- According to the international mountain guide (a mountain climbers outfit) there is already seven trips sched-uled for 2013. Even though scientists repute it that it shall only be a few decades from now until the ice peak snow capped highest mountain glaciers disappear, given the amazing speedy rate at which melting is taking place there seems to nothing more vivid shall stop tourists from thronging Kilimanjaro in 2013

Cape Town- Often described as a cosmopolis city with a more European flair than an African flair, Cape Town also Africa’s most beautiful city, with the spectacular Table mountain play-ing as its backdrop. The city’s heritage and culture put togeth-er is a melting pot comprising of Brazilian models, Congolese musicians and Italians commercial directors who spend most of their hours baking in the summer sunshine of Cape Town.

24

Bangkok, Thailand- In 2008, a friend of mine took a busi-ness trip to Bangkok by Ethiopian Airlines and came back with intense memories hard to erase. In March 2013 he went back to Bangkok on an adventure trip but to his surprise he discovered that the Bangkok he encountered in 2008 was entirely replaced by a different one. To his conclusion, Bang-kok is the kind of city whose evolution is by the second and not by the year. If you are a lover of game march down along the dusty road to the Tiger Buddhist temple not far from Bangkok, just 40km from the legendary world war 11 Bridge of the river kwai. Here Tigers that were once wild cubs roam freely among the monks who care for them, welcome visitors

Leptis Magna- This well preserved amphitheatre built to accommodate 16,000 spectators. Located 90km up the Mediterranean coast from Libya’s capital Tripoli, outside the little town of Al Khums, is an historical monumental city that attracts every international visitor to Libya. If you look-ing for something that shall whisk you away into time trav-el this year, then Leptis Magna shall be at your service. No doubt it’s called the best preserved Roman city outside Italy.

Kasubi Tombs, Uganda- Have you ever heard of the magnifi-cent traditional Ganda Architectural culture and living customs. If not allow me to introduce the Kasubi Tombs where all histori-cal Ganda customs architectural skills and lifestyle are stored. The kasubi tombs are one of the most vivid examples present-ly standing as witness to the life-long Ganda culture, Situated 5km away from Kampala city center on Kasubi Hill. The kasubi tombs, also traditionally known as muzibu-nzala mpanga-are one of the burial grounds/royal tombs of the kabakas of Buganda.

In 1873, Spafford schedule a boat trip to Europe in order to give his wife and daughters a much needed vacation and time to re-cover from the tragedy. They went ahead of him while Spafford remained to finish up a few things. He would later join them. Several days later, he received notice his family’s ship had en-countered a collision. All four of his daughters drowned; only his wife had survived.

With a heavy heart, Spafford boarded a boat that would take him to his grieving Anna in England. It was on this trip that he penned those now famous words, “When sorrow like sea billows roll; it is well with my soul.”

One may ask where God was when such tragedies and disap-pointments happened to His own beloved or still the popular question springs up, “Why does God let bad things happen to good people?”

Had it not been for all the trouble, hatred and being sold off to Egypt, Joseph would not have become the 2nd in command in the whole land of Egypt, the super power of the day. The whole world would not have received redemption and forgiveness of sin had it not been for the pain, death and resurrection of Jesus’ Christ, God’s own Son! Had it not been for Spafford to endure and accept the process, the song “It is well with my soul,” would not have been composed. For more than a century, the tragic story of one man has given hope to countless thousands who have lifted their voices to sing, “It is well with my soul.”Beloved reader, no matter what is raging through your soul, as you pour out your misery to God; he will turn it into a beautiful melody and all your failures into his glory, if only you can learn to simply accept the process.

ACCEPT THE

PROCESS here was that point in my life a few years ago when I felt like life was a little unfair to me. I was going through a tough situation in my academics and even financially I was not healthy. As a result, I was simply attributing all that to life’s unfairness and not even for a single minute could I think of what thou-sands of children in Somalia and some of Kampala’s slums would say about life. Truth is, my situation was not any close to theirs, but I was convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that life was so much unfair to me more than any human being alive at that time. It was until I felt a deeper conviction translated into a still small voice whisper to me the words that give title to this article that, “Peter, accept the process.” However, this didn’t bring to halt the conflict within my inner self. It simply took me a level higher and I began thinking about some seemingly similar sce-narios to what I was going through.

I started to wonder where God was all that time when Joseph in the Bible was hated by his own brothers, thrown in the pit, sold off to Egypt as a slave and was actually pronounced dead before his own father! “Where was God all this time?” I thought to myself.

Jesus Christ, the son of God was called a liar, bruised to the point of having His face shattered beyond rec-ognition, and He hang up that cross naked before the very people among whom He performed diverse mir-acles. This was shame in its highest degree. “Where was God when His own son suffered shame and ridi-cule from the very people He created?”

Horatio Spafford (1828-1888) was a wealthy Chica-go lawyer with a thriving legal practice, a beautiful home, a wife, four daughters and a son. He was a de-vout Christian and faithful student of the scriptures. However, at the height of his financial and profession-al success, Horatio and his family suffered the tragic loss of their young son. Shortly thereafter on October 8 1871, the great Chicago fire destroyed almost every real estate investment that Spafford had.

KIMBUGWE MUZAPHAL`S VISION FOR MBARARA MUNICIPALITY

Bringing apt (Appropriate) leadership:

shown his ambition to represent the people of Mbarara Municipality come the

next parliamentary election. He is an exceptionary good visionary with unique articulate and coherent viewpoints. He is also an Executive Analyst at the Battle of

Gifted Tongues Clashes

Approriate Leadership in any given societal domain aims at paying attention to family (the smallest unit in our commu-nities) in terms of stability and ability to access basic needs like shelter, food, health care services and hygiene facilities, education etc. In a bid to cut the edge between and the rich and the poor more especially at county and sub county level. After ensuring that each family can be in easy reach of such basic needs as given above we are to concentrate on income generation within the families and this will be through revamped support in agriculture (mechanization and more scientific approaches for example the use of fertilizers) small scale businesses, small scale industries (provision and ef-ficient monitoring of startup capital and business loans).

Infrastructural development for example through tarmack-ing and ensuring good feeder roads (a factor that will support agriculture through easy reach by farmers to the markets and transportation of required products for agricul-ture to their farms), Rural electrification to boost small scale industries, construction and refurbishing of UPE and USE schools to boost education, refurbishing health center fours

to boost health at family level.(All these being elements of account-able and focused leadership!)And for the youth we seek to emphasize political participation right from LC1 level to LC5 level as an inclusive leadership strategy since the youth have always been sidelined in decision making yet they hold majority of our population. Re emphasis of education and revamping technical school education to equip the youth with more practical knowledge, proper monitoring of the youth venture capital scheme for proper accountability and to iron out corruption, improved participation in NAADS project by the youth in Agri-culture, support of large scale industries and industrial parks e.g. CocaCola plant in nyamityobora, Bishagama industrial park ( of GBK) for job provision.******that’s a glimpse of what we are focusing on, as an element of inclusive leadership and strategies, we welcome your concerns and ideas towars this project.
