MATERIALS • Child’s Face template (to follow) • Scissors • Red construction paper • Glue or tape • Pencil PREPARATION • Print the “Child’s Face” template (to follow) • Optional : Using the “Child’s Face” template as a pattern, cut out from construction paper • Print the “tongue” pattern (bottom of page) • Optional: Using “tongue” pattern, before class cut out tongues from red construction paper. DIRECTIONS 1. Give each student a copy of the Apostle Head. Color. Cutout. 2. Using the “tongue” pattern (below), cut out tongues from red construction paper. On one side of the tongue, write: “Spread God’s Word!” 3. Attach the tongue to the mouth on child’s face, (pictured above) in one of the following ways: • Make a slit in the mouth. Slip end of tongue through the slit, make a fold, and attach to the back of the head using glue or tape. • Make a fold at the end of the tongue and attach to the mouth using glue or tape. 4. Using a pencil, roll the tip of the tongue around the pencil to make it “curl.” SCRIPTURES Acts 2:1-13 The power from the Holy Spirit allowed Jesus’ apostles to spread God’s Word unto the ends of the earth like a fire!
