Preparation
• Every hike requires a partner I asked my mom, dad and brother to join me• We woke up at 8:30 and prepared
to leave for 9:30• It was a 15 minute drive to the
mountain• The parking lot was pretty full

Importance of Good FootwearIt is important to wear appropriate footwear for the hike as there is many rocks, roots and stairs that one can trip on. To avoid swollen ankles/ other injuries, running shoes or hiking shoes are recommended

The Ride Down

The Grouse Skyride is the only way down the mountain as it as a one way hike.
On The Skyride, you enjoy a very scenic view of the mountain as well as Vancouver

Conclusion
• It took 2 hours to fully complete the hike • With a 10 minute break at the ½ point
Overall, it was very challenging but an amazing hard workout! It was fun for the family to challenge ourselves and be active in the process. The cardio training helped a lot and having a water bottle on hand came in very handy
