2014-The Stryker LadyPanthers held their annual

Winter Sports Awards on

March 17 at Stryker HighSchool. The Lady Panthers

placed 5 students on theBBC Scholar Athlete list

with Connor Sullivan, Con-

ner Varner, Christie Hus-

ton, Maddie Uribes, and

Gabby Paxton named for

the 2013-2014 season. In Varsity Basketball,

Head Coach Steve Brownaddressed the assembled

crowd, pointing out theve keys for success in the

Stryker program; Heart,

Determination, Loyalty,School Pride, and Commit-

ment. Though the recordfor the season did not meet

expectations set prior to the

start of the season, CoachBrown stated he was very

pleased with the girls ef-fort and professionalism

throughout the season.Receiving rst year letter

awards this year were Au-

dra Rupp, Gabby Paxton,and Megan Graber; Second

year letter awardees thisyear were Maddie Uribes

and Ashley Haines; thirdyear letter awardee Chris-

tie Huston; and Conner

Varner along with ConnorSullivan were honored for

their fourth year of varsityaction.

This years CoachsAwards went to Conner

Varner (Best Free Throw

Percentage: 76.6%; TeamRebounding-203), and

Connor Sullivan, who wasnamed as the Top Defender.

Varner, Sullivan and Hus-ton were also recipients of

this years Captain Award.

Receiving BBC honorsfor the 2013-2014 season

this year for the Lady Pan-

thers were Conner Var-ner, named to the BBC 1st

Team, along with team-mates Christie Huston and

Connor Sullivan, who werenamed to the BBC 2nd

Team. Additionally, Varnerwas named to the District

7 1st Team, while Huston

and Sullivan received Dis-trict 7 2nd Team honors.

Noteworthy mentionfor this years senior team

participated in three sports
