Jesus gives us his true body and blood. We express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word.

As Christians, we trust Scripture as complete truth. God’s Word moves believers to take their sins to him by confessing them.

Confession of SinAll:

In Matthew chapter 3 verse 6, it says: “Confessing their sins, they were baptized by John in the Jordan River.”


In Acts chapter 19 verse 18, it says: “Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds.”


In James chapter 5 verse 16, it says: “Confess your sins to each other.”

Confession of SinPastor: As believers in the Triune

God, let us confess our sins to him.

All: For the times we have not welcomed you or your Word—and the times we have resisted it— Lord, have mercy on us.


When our mouths have not given true Hosannas, but have been muted and silent—Christ have mercy on us.

Confession of Sin

All: For all the moments we have been selfish and unwilling to spread our goods before you – unlike the people who placed their cloaks before you when you entered Jerusalem—

Lord have mercy on us.

Confession of SinPastor: God has placed the full

payment of sin on our Savior Jesus.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Be at peace with God.

I am forgiven by his blood, and his child through baptism.

All: I believe that Jesus Christ,

He has redeemed me, a lost and condemned creature, purchased and won me from all sins, from death and from the power of the devil, not with gold or silver, but with his holy, precious blood and with his innocent suffering and death.
