In addition, the vehicle can also be raised to provide up to 300 mm more ground clearance. The V6 FSI 206 kW 4XMOTION “Terrain Tech” features a rotary knob on the centre console allowing you to select from five driving configurations: “Onroad” for sealed surfaces, “Offroad” for unsealed surfaces, “Low” for offroad support and for increasing the shifting points, locking the middle differential for further optimised power distribution between the front and rear axles along with locking the rear axle to prevent the rear wheels from spinning on loose surfaces. | SO
04. Side slope angle: 35°. The new Touareg always retains control of the situation and delivers ideal traction, even on steep inclines.
05. Wading depth: up to 580 mm. Always a hand’s breadth of water beneath the keel – The new Touareg can even handle a few more hands.1

Ready for everything – par for the course with the new Touareg. A variety of assistance systems ensure that you are prepared for almost anything imaginable. So that every journey is not only exceptionally comfortable but, above all, safe.
The “Easy Open” comfort function enables the luggage compartment lid to be opened without contact. Briefly triggering the additional sensors at the rear of the vehicle with a small foot movement is sufficient. The key for the “Keyless Access” opening and closing system provides the authorisation. | SO

The ACC adaptive cruise control matches the speed to that of the vehicle driving ahead within the system thresholds, for example when driving in the city or on the motorway, and maintains the distance set. The “Front Assist” area monitoring system registers that another vehicle has approached too close and in an emergency, for example at slow speeds, produces so much brake pressure that collision severity can in many cases be diminished or even avoided completely. | SO
02. The “Dynamic Light Assist” dynamic high-beam control makes it possible to drive with permanent high beam at speeds above 60 km/h without blinding oncoming traffic. Optimum illumination of the road provides even greater safety when driving. | SO
