Wheat for March delivery fell 5.50 cents to $7.5750 a bushel; March corn fell 5.25 cents to $7.29 a bushel; March oats added 6.50 cents to $3.6625 a bushel; while March soybeans rose 6.75 cents to $14.9550 a bushel. Beef futures and pork futures were also mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. April live cattle added 0.03 cent to $1.3230 a pound; March feeder cattle fell 0.35 cent to $1.4852 a pound; April lean hogs fell 0.65 cent to 87.70 cents a pound. ARRESTS • Kristopher Wilkinson, 28, Yankton, was arrested Monday on a warrant. • Joseph Barnett, 25, Wakonda, was arrested Monday on a parole hold. • Valencia Hernandez, 20, Yankton, was arrested Monday on a warrant. • A 16-year-old Yankton female was arrested Monday for disturbance of school. • A 17-year-old Yankton male was ar- rested Monday for possession of mari- juana and on a probation hold. INCIDENTS • A report was received at 2:43 p.m. Monday that two females had an alterca- tion at the Yankton High School. One was arrested for disruption of school. • A report was received at 5:45 p.m. Monday that a dog was chasing people in the 900 block of Burleigh St. The owner said she would not let it run loose again. • A report was received at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday that two juvenile females had been fighting at the Yankton Middle School. They were arrested for disruption of school. • A report was received at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday of numerous electronics stolen from a business in the 3000 block of Broadway. • A sheriff’s office report was received at 4:30 p.m. Monday of a burglary along Chris Road, Mission Hill. • A report was received at 11:48 a.m. Monday of a structure fire along Mack Drive, Yankton. CRIME STOPPERS Anyone wishing to report anonymous information on unlawful activity in the City of Yankton or in Yankton County is en- couraged to contact the Crime Stoppers tip line at 665-4440. For the 19th year, Mount Marty College students will assist mem- bers of the community with prepar- ing their individual tax returns without charge. Students enrolled in the tax clinic course will help prepare re- quired federal and state tax returns for low-income clients. The stu- dents will meet with each client for an initial interview then prepare the necessary tax returns. A sec- ond, short appointment will be conducted with each client to go over the results of the tax returns before filing. Each tax return will go through a verification process to ensure ac- curacy before being returned to the client for filing. At the conclu- sion of the tax return preparation process, the client will be given a paper return to mail to the Internal Revenue Service along with a full and complete copy for their per- sonal records. No data relative to any tax returns will be maintained by Mount Marty College or the stu- dents providing this service. Those interested in taking ad- vantage of this free service should email [email protected] to indi- cate their interest and to schedule an appointment. This year’s Unity Supper and Grand Auction will fea- ture a “Western Round-Up” theme and is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, at the parish center. A Grand Auction and a Silent Auction will be included in this year’s line-up with hundreds of items available for bidding. For the 19th year, Mount MartyCollege students will assist mem-bers of the community with prepar-ing their individual tax returnswithout charge.

Students enrolled in the taxclinic course will help prepare re-quired federal and state tax returnsfor low-income clients. The stu-dents will meet with each client foran initial interview then preparethe necessary tax returns. A sec-ond, short appointment will beconducted with each client to goover the results of the tax returnsbefore filing.

Each tax return will go througha verification process to ensure ac-curacy before being returned tothe client for filing. At the conclu-

sion of the tax return preparationprocess, the client will be given apaper return to mail to the InternalRevenue Service along with a fulland complete copy for their per-sonal records. No data relative toany tax returns will be maintainedby Mount Marty College or the stu-dents providing this service.
