Presenters
Joseph Nockels: Post-
graduate researcher, focusing
on archival studies and herit-
age formation, at Leiden Uni-
versity in The Netherlands.
Having received the Dewi
Rowlands Bursary, from the U.K based Un-
affiliated Congregational Churches Charities
(UCCC), he has undertaken a study of the
Pilgrim experience in Leiden from 1609-1620.
Eunice Fayehun: Eunice grew up as the
daughter of Congre-
gational missionaries
in rural Nigeria. To-
day she is a social
media sensation through the creation of her
own YouTube channel where she covers the
difficult subject of African politics with her
own brand of irreverent humor. She will pre-
sent the story of her journey and how she is
bringing African news to the forefront of the
Western World.
Francis Bremer: Acknowledged expert on Pu-
ritanism in the Atlantic world
with numerous published
articles and 17 books. His
study of John Winthrop,
America's Forgotten Founding Father (2003),
was submitted for consideration for the Pu-
litzer Prize and won the John C. Pollock
Award for Christian Biography.
Featured Speaker: Ric Burns
Ric Burns is an interna-
tionally recognized doc-
umentary filmmaker
and writer. Burns has
been writing, directing
and producing histori-
cal documentaries for over 25 years, since his
collaboration on the PBS series The Civil War.
He has directed some of the most distin-
guished programs for PBS including The Pil-
grims and The Way West. His work has won
numerous awards including six Emmy
Awards and two Peabody Awards.

Margaret Bendroth: Outgoing Executive Director
of the Congregational Library
and Archives, respected histo-
rian, author, and lecturer.
Margaret (Peggy) Bendroth
received her Ph.D. in history from Johns
Hopkins University and was professor of
history at Calvin College from 1998 to 2004.
Charles Hambrick-
Stowe: Retired Congrega-
tional Pastor, Seminary Dean
and Professor, and author or
editor of six books and nu-
merous articles in American religious histo-
ry. His book, The Practice of Piety, won the
Jamestown Prize for early American History
and offers a vivid account of Puritanism.
