Welcome to Campus Kids, and the Fairview Lake YMCA Camps Family!

Dear Parents,

I am honored to welcome you to our Fairview Lake YMCA Camp family. For 105 years, we have been building community and friendships at our Fairview Lake camp. We are proud to expand our offerings at Campus Kids, teaching skills and providing a safe and nurturing home away from home for campers from around the country and around the world.

Camp has a significant place in my own story. Through camp I found strong role models, learned valuable lessons, and met lifelong friends. Our goal is to provide all of that, and more, to your child.

Campus Kids is a place where a child can choose their own adventures, and focus on what activities are important to them. This builds confidence, self-reliance and decision making skills - just by choosing the day’s activities. Camp is a place where a child can feel safe and loved, express themselves freely, develop their values and learn more about the world around them.

OUR UNIQUE PROGRAM:THE WEEK DAY SLEEP-AWAY CAMP

A UNIQUE PROGRAM FOR YOUR CHILDCampers spend weekdays at camp and weekends at home, allowing them to enjoy a quality sleep-away camp experience and still spend time in the summer with their families.

INCREDIBLE FACILITIESCampus Kids is located on the campus of Blair Academy, a preeminent boarding school located in Blairstown, NJ. Campers and staff live in dorms on the picturesque 525-acre campus. Each bunk group of 8-12 children and two to three counselors lives in its own dormitory hallway, with two or three campers in each room.

We make full use of the state-of-the-art facilities at Blair Academy - including the heated indoor pool, turf fields, tennis courts, a 9 hole golf course, fine arts studios and more!

Children & teens entering grades 2-10 choose their own summer adventure at Campus Kids. Each day, a huge selection of activities brings fun and learning to every child. Delicious meals in the Blair Academy dining hall with friends, plus fun all-camp activities, clubs, and time to build friendships makes this an ideal program for any kid. Our programming also includes swim lessons, special events and the option of daily phone calls home.

TRANSPORTATION IS INCLUDED!Each Monday, your child takes a coach bus to camp - we’ll coordinate a convenient pick up point with you. Friday afternoons, they’ll head home and arrive in time for dinner!

TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED TO & FROM:New Jersey: Bergen, Passaic, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Union, Essex, Monmouth and Mercer Counties.

TRANSPORTATION & HOUSING

BUNK GROUPSEach bunk group of 8-12 children and two to three counselors lives in its own hallway in the comfortable Blair Academy dormitories, with two or three campers in each room.

Campers and staff will dine together in their bunk group each day at Blair Academy’s dining hall. Groups will also participate in camp events together.

CAMPER CHOICE ACTIVITIES

Our daily camper choice activities make it easy for a camper to learn new skills and to excel in the activities they like best. Each afternoon, counselors help each campers choose actives for the next day. Activities are led by our counselors, and utilize the state-of-the-art Blair Academy facilities.

SPORTS SPECIALTIESSport Specialties are clinics in Squash, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee and Fitness*. They are offered throughout the summer, and are designed for campers wishing target specific sport skills. These programs are offered for campers entering grades seven and higher who are enrolled in a regular Campus Kids session. Campers are members of regular bunk groups and participate in all the traditional fun of camp, but spend almost half of their program time in the sport specialty.*The Fitness specialty is only open to campers in grades eight and up.

WEEKEND ADVENTURE (ADDITIONAL FEE)July 17-20 (between camp weeks 3 & 4) July 31-August 3 (between camp weeks 5 & 6)Registered campers entering grades 7-10 can join us for a special weekend of fun! Campers and staff camp out at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps, located just 12 miles north of campus. From there, spend the day at an off site attraction and nights around the campfire.
