HEAT SINK & COOLER FAN

In electronic systems, a heat sink is a passive heat exchanger that cools a device by dissipating heat into the surrounding medium.

Page 10: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Temperature sensor• The LM35 series are precision integrated-

circuit temperature sensors, whose output voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius (Centigrade) temperature.

Page 11: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Micro controller• Atmega8L is a low-power, high-performance

CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 8K bytes of in-system programmable Flash memory.

Page 12: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Features:

• 8K Bytes of In-System Programmable (ISP) Flash Memory

• 4.0V to 5.5V Operating Range• Fully Static Operation: 0 Hz to 33 MHz• 256 x 8-bit Internal RAM• 32 Programmable I/O Lines• Three 16-bit Timer/Counters• Eight Interrupt Sources

Buttons Button is a simple switch mechanism for controlling some aspect of a machine or a process.

Page 15: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Indicators

• LEDs are monochromatic (one color) devices.

• The colour of LED depends on the band gap.

• It works on the principle of ELECTRO LUMINISENCE.

LCD DISPLAY

LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY (LCD)

It’s a 16 Character x 2 Line LCD Module to the Parallel Port device.

Page 18: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Advantages:

• Very compact and light• Low power consumption• No geometric distortion• Little or no flicker depending on backlight

technology• Not affected by screen burn-in• No high voltage or other hazards present during

repair/service• Can be made in almost any size or shape

Resistors

• A resistor is a device found in circuits that has a certain amount of resistance

• used to adjust the current flowing through a particular part of the circuit.

Page 20: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Crystal Oscillators

• A crystal oscillator is an electronic circuit that uses the mechanical resonance of a vibrating crystal of piezoelectric material to create an electrical signal with a very precise frequency.

SWITCHED MODE POWER SUPPLY

A switched-mode power supply (SMPS, or switcher) is an electronic power supply that incorporates a switching regulator to convert electrical power efficiently.

Programming

Programming or burning a microcontroller means to transfer the program from the compiler to the memory of the microcontroller.

Page 26: Thermoelectric Cooler2

Compiler • A compiler is software which provides an

environment to write, test and debug a program for the microcontroller.

• MicroC pro, Keil Vision, etc. are compilers.

• Once a program is transferred or written in the memory of the microcontroller, it then works in accordance with the program.

Simulation of design

• Simulation is the process of analyzing the working of any circuit without physically connecting the components.

• It is done in virtual environment(with software).

• Proteus is a simulation and PCB designing software.

GOAL STATEMENT

Our team will pay acute attention to detail and complete an honest assessment of risks, failures and hazards associated with this project. The whole team will be educated on all safety precautions and must pass a safety test before assembly and testing begins.
