Our country, our community, and our neighbors need the Y now more than ever. In these divisive times, when people of differing opinions and passions collide, the Y remains a peaceful place where all people are welcomed, cared for, and supported. We are a place of belonging, where our members, volunteers, and staff support and care for one another. We are a place where kids can get the experiences and skills they need to be successful in life. We are a place that improves the health of our community. Our purpose is to help all people become better through their involvement in the Y. The Y is joined by business and civic leaders, investors and donors to examine the root causes of poor graduation rates, poor health, isolation and multi-generational poverty. The Y is now using data-driven continuous improvement metrics to identify and measure the effectiveness of initiatives to ensure progress occurs.

We are proud of the impact that we have in the Greater Toledo area; this annual report demonstrates many of the successes and highlights of 2017, including improving Success in Schools, Improving Health and Well-being and Bringing People Together. The Y is fortunate to have the support of our volunteers, donors, and members. All of you share in the success of our great organization. We have much left to do, and we are hopeful that we have a plan in place to ensure and strengthen our impact in our community.
