Forbes Magazine was founded in the year 1917 by American journalist B.C. Forbes. Some of the other magazines that are part of the Forbes Publishing Group include Forbes Europe, Forbes Life, Forbes Woman, Forbes Asia, as well as Forbes.com – the largest business portal on economics and finance.

Forbes Magazine is licensed for publishing in several different languages – there are local editions in China, Turkey, India, Croatia, Romania, Israel, Korea, Poland, Japan, Latvia, Slovakia, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine in addition to Forbes Africa and Forbes Middle East.

Since the year 2004, the German publishing house Axel Springer began issuing Forbes Magazine in Russia.

In November 2009, the Forbes website was opened in Russia: www.forbes.ru.

In September 2011, an announcement was made for the release of the Forbes Russia app for IPhone and the mobile version of the site m.forbes.ru as well.

In April 2012, an announcement was made for the launch of the Forbes Russia app for the Android operating system.

On December 5, 2014, Forbes Russia Mag, a new Forbes Russia interactive app for iPad.

On December 5, 2014, Forbes Russia Mag, a new interactive Forbes Russia app for iPad tablets was released.

Forbes Russia Mag is issued once a month – at the same time as the printed version of the magazine.

The IPad app allows users to gain access to the materials of the printed version of Forbes magazine enriched with multimedia content: video, audio, interactive infographics, additional images, and information features.

The materials in Forbes: Topic of the Week section are specially prepared for working on the IPad app in consideration of the functional features of iPad. Promoting Forbesin Russia

Every year the Russian publication of Forbes confirms its status of a magazine, which is the most quoted one and the publication of influence*.

Axel Springer Russia Publishing House actively invests in the promotion of the Forbes brand on the Russian market. Methods include radio broadcasts, external advertising, advertising in business centers, and priority display of the magazine in sales outlets.

Forbes is proud to be a partner of the most significant business events in the country: the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, the economic forums in Perm and Krasnoyarsk, the investment forums of the largest finance companies in Russia, and many other events.

Forbes also conducts its own events – the Forbes Club and the Forbes Woman Club. The speakers and participants of the Club meetings include Russian and foreign businessmen, scientists, economists, writers, politicians, activists, and other leaders of public opinion.
