The Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst will be accepting Requests for Quotations/Tender for the following:

RFQ #2015-025 Arborist Tree Services

RFT #2015-015Single Axle Cab and Chassis c/w Snowplow Wing, U Dump Body

Spreader and Electronic De-icer Control

The necessary tender packages will be available on the Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst Web Site at bids.gravenhurst.ca

The packages must be returned in a sealed envelope by April 24, 2:00pm.

Free compost is available to the public on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

It will be available at the Municipal Parking Lot #20, Muskoka Wharf, located at the corner of Steamship Bay Rd. and Muskoka Rd. #169 in Gravenhurst.

The loose compost can be shoveled by the public into buckets, trucks or trailers. Residents must bring their own container, bags and a shovel. It’s first come, first served, while supplies last!

After April 22, there will be more compost available to the public at the Gravenhurst landfill site on Beiers Rd.

Muskoka’s Green Bin, Leaf and Yard Waste is processed into nutrient rich compost soil and offered at no charge to Muskoka residents for spring gardening projects.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town ofGravenhurst proposes to enact a by-law to close, stop up and sell thoseparts of the original shore road allowance described as follows:

That part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot 21, Concession7, Township of Muskoka, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality ofMuskoka, designated as Part 1 on 35R-24759 (Lake Muskoka)

AND TO SELL that part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot21, Concession 7, Township of Muskoka , now Town of Gravenhurst, DistrictMunicipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 1 on 35R-24759, to theadjoining owner or owners of them.

THE PROPOSED BY-LAW will come before the said Council forconsideration at its regular meeting at Gravenhurst Municipal Office, 5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst, Ontario on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, at 5:00 o’clock p.m. and at that time the Council will hear any person or by hisCounsel, Solicitor or Agent, any person who claims that his lands will beprejudicially affected and who applies to be heard. What You Need To Know About Door-To-Door SalespersonsThe Gravenhurst Community Garden located at the Centennial Centre is a public space for individuals and families to grow their own vegetables.

The garden consists of 30 raised garden box plots that are available at various heights.

Each plot is $10 for the season, with an initial limit of (two) plots per family. Plots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
