◻ Starting with the Class of 2021, students have two pathways to meet the high school graduation assessments requirements:

◻ Pass the ELA 10 and Algebra 1 assessments; or

◻ The submission by the district of a student portfolio through the Department’s portfolio appeals process.

◻ HOWEVER...

NJSLA (Formerly PARCC)

❏ NJ Superior Court recent decision regarding graduation requirements:❏ Judges said requirement for HS students to take

PARCC Algebra 1 & 10th-grade ELA is not authorized under state law.

❏ Panel said existing state law requires students only take one exam in 11th grade for graduation
