Procedural flexibility and reliable performance

By connecting a secondary plasma device* (SPD) to the Spectra Optia system, you can process patients’ plasma through columns, filters and secondary processing systems. In addition to the procedure versatility and reliable performance the Spectra Optia system is known for, the intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) guides you through each step of the procedure.

Adjustable plasma flow rates Accommodates a range of SPDs*

Automated pressure monitoringProvides you with pressure information for the SPD continuously throughout the procedure

Plasma removal efficiency87% ± 31

Provides an optimized product for secondary processing

Ability to pause the system Gives you flexibility and enables more focused time on the patient and the device

Intuitive controlSimplifies the balance of plasma and replace pumps, regulating the return of treated plasma

Reliable performanceHelps you achieve predictable therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) results through advanced system technology

*Secondary plasma devices may be used with flow rates from 10 mL/min to 100 mL/min on the Spectra Optia system. Check secondary plasma device specifications for requirements.1Tomey CA, et al., “Improved Plasma Removal Efficiency for Therapeutic Plasma Exchange Using a New Apheresis Platform,” Transfusion 2010, 50(2): 471-477.

how it Works

The GUI guides you through each step of the procedure. The examples below demonstrate the ease of monitoring and controlling the settings throughout procedures.

Working with you

Each and every interaction we have with you is important. By fostering open and ongoing relationships, we bring more value to you and the patients we’re all focused on serving.

Even after the technology is in place, we continue to serve you with:

■ Education and training ■ Technical support ■ Clinical and scientific support

■ Customer support ■ Users groups and

professional networks

Low volume tubing set(Maximum ECV* = 185mL) Accommodates smaller patients and supports both patient comfort and safety

Single set, multiple protocols Performs TPE procedures on the same tubing set used for red blood cell exchange

Compact packaging Minimizes the space required for storage

Color-coded components Simplify setup and operation

* Maximum ECV with reservoir filled to high-level sensor (maximum occurs under infrequent alarm conditions)

Not for distribution in the U.S.
