The Quest for a Great Trade Show Booth Continues

Preparing early for successful exhibiting can be a lengthy, tedious process. In our last article we discussed brainstorming with your marketing team to set goals, establish objectives and locate tradeshows to best facilitate the accomplishment of both. In closing, we suggested that you spend some time researching all the exhibiting options available to you at www.exhibittrader2.com.

Creating a Trade Show Booth is a multi-level endeavor. The best place to start is-perhaps- with a brief overview of the different types of displays. Discussing the specifics of graphic placement on a panel display will gain you little, if you are not quite clear on exactly what a panel display is.

Tradeshow exhibits can be custom designed and built individually from the ground up (to your exact specifications). The costs related to this type of display can be considerable in regards to design, construction, installation/dismantle, transportation, storage and repair/refurbishing, when compared to its counterpart-custom modular exhibits. The major categories for portable tradeshow displays are as follows.

Modular Exhibits

Composed of modules (frames, panels, etc.) that can be connected in different configurations to adjust to varying venue sizes/shapes. Lightweight, pack tightly for shipping and storage, easy to assemble, affordable and easy graphic changes. Combines portability, modularity & ease of setup with look of high end custom exhibits. . Huge variety of options/accessories available. Start with a basic model and add to it.

Panel Displays

Consist of several flat/curved panels that are joined together on the show floor (or are pre-connected and simply unfold). Very versatile and can be used in a variety of configurations. Variety of options for displaying your product attach to the panels: gridwall, slatwall, shelving, counters, etc. Available in a wide range of models and styles, in a variety of surfaces such as laminates, fabrics, metals and even full-graphic (though a bit costly). Graphics are normally separate and then attached onto panel displays.

Pop-Up Displays An expandable frame creates a backwall for your booth. Fabric and full-graphic panel attaches to frame as one solid piece (image area). Fabric side-panels (extra) cover the frame edges (otherwise visible). Set up is quick/easy. Name derives from its "small to large" pop-up action. One of the most portable trade show booths available. Wide

variety of colors and accessories such as monitor mounts, shadowboxes, shelves and waterfall brackets available.

Fabric/Tension Displays

Similar to a pop-up display in construction. An attached, seamless, fitted fabric-printed with your graphic artwork-stretches over a lightweight frame. Growing trend in portable displays. Produces a very clean, modern look. Add-on accessories are available. Xpressions model has 12 frame options, numerous fabric shape and size choices; infinite configurations possible offering endless design possibilities. Very few tools (if any) or labor required.
