Notice of Closure of Road/Street to Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the 2011 Club Targa New Zealand Rally will close the following roads/streets to ordi-nary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date: Thursday, October 27, 2011Time: 9.00am to 1.00pm

Streets/Roads: Kawhia Harbour Rd – start-ing from the district boundary to its intersection with Te Waitere Rd. Including intersections with Brown Rd (No Exit), and Willow Point Rd (No Exit).

Te Waitere Road – starting from its intersection with Kawhia Harbour Rd to its intersection with Taharoa Rd.

Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 100 metres of EACH adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being applied for.

Date: Thursday, October 27, 2011Time: 10.00am to 3.00pm

Streets/Roads: Te Anga Rd – Starting from its intersection with Marokopa and Taharoa Rds to finish at its intersection with Tumutumu Rd including intersections with Speedies Rd, Marae Rd, Appletree Rd, Kokokaroa Rd, Hauturu Rd, Waipuna Rd and Ngatapuwae Rd.

Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 100 metres of EACH adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being applied for.

Date: Thursday, October 27, 2011, Time: 1.30pm to 5.30pm

Streets/Roads: Waitomo Valley Rd - Starting 1.10kms from its intersection with SH37 (just north of Woodlyn Park), to the district boundary.

Haurua Rd – Starting from the district boundary to its intersection with SH37. Including intersec-tions with Waihohonu Road (No Exit)

Streets/Roads: Oparure Rd – Starting from its intersection with Troopers Rd to its intersection with Mairoa and Ngapaenga Rds including inter-sections with Waipapa and Waitepipi Rds.

Mairoa Rd – Starting from its intersection with Oparure and Ngapaenga Rds to it intersection with Mangaotaki Rd including intersections with Pungarehu and Kihikihi Rds.

Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 100 metres of EACH adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being applied for.

Streets/Roads: Barber Rd – Starting from the district boundary, to its intersection with Tahaia Bush and Rangitoto Rds.

Rangitoto Rd – Starting from its intersection with Barber and Tahaia Bush Rds, to finish just before the driveway to Te Kuiti Meat Processors and House 91, which is 880 metres from its inter-section with The Esplanade. Including intersec-tions with Thompson Rd (No Exit), Pururu West Rd (No Exit), Pururu East Rd (No Exit), Ngapeke Rd, Ahoroa Rd (No Exit), and Tate Rd (No Exit).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority to use the road/street for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Community Family Violence Co-ordinatorFamily Works Waikato is seeking a highly motivated com-munity worker to co-ordinate the Maniapoto Family Vio-lence Network in the Waitomo area for 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week) for a fixed term contract ending June 30, 2012.

Apply your skills to this multi agency community collabora-tion to design, develop and implement an inter-agency approach to address issues of family violence in our community. Have you got local knowledge and networks within the Waitomo area?

You will have knowledge of the dynamics of family violence and an in-depth understanding of the effects of family violence on individuals, families and communities and a real passion for preventing family violence. Your proven ability to establish and maintain meaningful com-munity relationships and networks; advanced facilitation skills and knowledge of tikanga Maori that is consistent with local tikanga and kawa and their relevance to the prevention of family violence will bring real strength to this role.

An ability to develop and follow good systems and processes, together with high level administrative and computer skills are essential. Some previous work in the area of family violence would be an advantage.
