Our objective is to deliver quality and affordable education to as wide an audience of the Hair & Beauty industry as possible.

This year we have introduced a number of new courses, improved some and retained severalof your old favourites.

As a professional you will know how vitally important it is that you keep up-to-date with whatis happening in your Industry.

Rand Rocket Foundation Cutting (Levels A & B)

Level A-Classic Bob and Horizontal GraduationUnder the expert guidance and tuition of a Rand Rocket Academy Educator you will have ‘hands-on’ experience of foundation cutting.

This Course is essential for understanding and regarding the basis on which to build for the progression of precision haircutting. The Course is suitable for beginners who are currently undertaking their NVQ/SVQ Level 2, those with limited experience or for those who are looking to refresh their skills. This one day Course will be split into two sessions, morning and afternoon, giving personal tuition in a class room set-up.

You will be required to bring a manikin training head and your hairdressing equipment with you on the day of the Course.

Level B-Basic Long and Short LayersDuring this one day Course you will watch demonstrations on long and short layers and actively do this on a manikin training head.

On this Course you will gain invaluable knowledge for precision cutting and finishing, on giving a greater awareness of sections and angles. This Course is ideal for anyone who is currently working towards the NVQ/SVQ level 2, those with limited experience or for those who wish to refresh their knowledge of a defined haircut.

You will be required to bring a manikin training head and your hairdressing equipment with you on the day of the Course.

Rand Rocket Intermediate Cutting (Levels C & D)

Level C-On-Trend Graduation and New Layering TechniquesDuring this one day Course, you will work on a manikin training head to achieve vertical graduation and vertical short layering and actively improve and build on classical commercial cutting techniques.

During this Course you will participate in a theory session where you will have the ongoing opportunity to ask questions as your training progresses. It is essential you have the skill of cutting a classic bob and the principal understanding of shortbasic layers.

This Course is essential for anyone wishing to refresh or build on their knowledge of foundation cutting.

Level D-Asymmetric Graduation and Long Graduating LayersThis innovative one day Course will teach you how to cut an Asymmetric Graduation and Long Graduating layers and actively improve and build on classical commercial cutting techniques. This Course will give you these essentials skills which begin to open up creativity setting you ‘on your way’ to establishing a clientele. To gain the maximum benefit from this Course it is essential to have the skill of cutting a classic bob and basic long layer as covered in the Foundation Courses.

This Course is suitable for anyone with experience of foundation cutting, those wishing to build their knowledge of foundation cutting or if you are wishing to refresh your skills of classical commercial cuts.

You will be working on a manikin training head for this Course.

Rand Rocket Advance Cutting

Advance CuttingThis is a ‘must do’ Course for anyone looking to advance their level of haircutting techniques and introduce further skills to achieve a higher standard. Exploring disconnections and ultra “on-trend” cuts.

During this Course you will be shown how to cut using texture and to advance the more creative aspect of commercial haircutting techniques, which will help youto understand the principles of hair cutting with texture and incorporation ofcommercial shapes.

You will be required to provide two manikin heads; one for the morning session and one for the afternoon session.

This Advanced Cutting Course is accredited by HABIA for 4½ hours of CPD.

Wahl Traditional Solid Foundation

During the Solid Foundation Workshop you will see demonstrations and enjoyan in-depth practical session. This Course will give you a solid foundation tounderstanding and enjoying Men’s Hairdressing.

Course Structure:• Layers• Graduation• Clipper/Scissor Over Comb• Tapering• Hairlines

This Course is ideal for NVQ level hairdressers wanting more experience andconfidence, female hairdressers looking to build their barbering skills or as arefresher Course. You will be required to provide a male model of any age but no younger than age 13/14 who is willing to have a basic haircut. Hair must be long enough to perform a basic cut and not balding too much. Your model shouldarrive at the venue for 12.30pm.

You will be required to supply your own hairdressing tools such as scissors, combs, trimmers, hairdryer and gown. Clippers and blade attachments will be supplied for the practical session.

Wahl Funky Men

This Inspirational one day Course is a ‘must-do’ for Senior Stylists, Managers and Salon Owners.

Put those men right back in your salon with the most up-to-date men’shairdressing Course available. This one day Course will give you knowledge and motivation and will excite you to earn more money from your guys.

This advanced barbering Course is ideal for updating basic skills with the latest looks and techniques such as Simon Shaw’s now famous ‘flick and smack’ texturising technique.

You will view demonstrations and enjoy an in-depth practical session on the latest men’s styles with clippers. This Course is both inspirational and motivational and is ideal for hairdressers looking to add something different to their technique. Three years experience recommended. You will be required to provide a male model of any age but no younger than 13/14 who is willing to have a change of style rather than just a trim. Male models hair must be around an inch in length or longer. Models should arrive at the venueat 12:30pm.

Wahl Clipper Design

This fantastic one day Course is a real treat for all qualified stylists. From‘tramlines to dragons’, from basic to advanced designs, there’s something for everybody. Excellent Course for creative barbers and hairdressers who want to be able to offer something different to their clientele. No previous experience of design work required but three years generalexperience recommended. You will be required to provide a male model of any age but no younger than 13/14, who is willing to have design work done in their hair. Preferred hair type would be darker as designs do not stand out if the hair is too fair. Hair must be no less than 1 cm in length. Your model should arrive at the venue for 12:30pm.

You will be required to supply your own hairdressing tools such as scissors, combs, trimmers, hairdryer, styling irons and gown. Trimmers must be closecutting and of professional quality

XP100 Colour

This one day Colour Course allows you to explore the XP100 Colour Portfolio and learn the benefits of the range. This Course is suitable for both existing and first time users.

In the morning you will take part in a theory session to build on your Colour Knowledge. In the afternoon you then have the opportunity to put this Colour Knowledge into practice with a ‘hands-on’ practical session where you will gain confidence in using the product and see first-hand the outstanding results.

• You must have at least 18 months hairdressing experience and be able to apply colour. • You are required to provide a model for the practical session in the afternoon. Models will be used at the discretion of the Educator and should arrive at the venue for 12.30pm. • All models must be skin tested with the appropriate product 48 hrs prior to attending the Course. • You will be required to provide your own hairdressing equipment and XP100 products (as tested on your model), for the practical session.

A Certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the Course.

Colour Correction Using XP100 Colour

Provide an extra service to new and existing Customers, by attending our“Colour Correction” Course. This Course is designed for Stylists and Colourists who are looking to expand their colour knowledge.

Participants will gain the confidence and ability to;• Lighten cosmetically darkened hair • Pre-pigment overlightened hair• Apply the correct colour when the wrong tone has been used

During the Course you will participate in a theory session followed by a practical session in the afternoon.

• You must have at least 18 months hairdressing experience and be able to apply colour. • You will be required to provide a model for the Practical Session in the afternoon. Models will be used at the discretion of the Educator and should arrive at the venue for 12.30pm. • All models must be skin tested with the appropriate product 48 hrs prior to attending the course. • You will also be required to supply your own hairdressing equipment and XP100 products for the practical session

Long Hair Dressing and Styling

Long hair dressing and styling techniques are a useful addition to any Stylist’s portfolio of hairdressing skills. With more and more customers visiting Salons to have their hair styled for that special occasion, you don’t want to miss out on that extra business.

During your Training our Educator will demonstrate a selection of techniques, however the emphasis will focus on you acquiring the practical skills to create the following key styles:• French Roll• Sophisticated & Stylish Chignons and Glamorous Buns• Beehives• Coils, adapted into hair up on most lengths and textures

You will have ongoing opportunities to ask questions as your training progresses. At the end of the Course you will be able to recap on any specific style you have learned or use your newly acquired skills to approach a style of your own interpretation.

A long-haired model will be required and should accompany you to the venue,if you are unable to provide a model then you will be required to bring along-haired training head and clamp. You can order these from any of our stores. You will also be required to supply your own hairdressing equipment to include kirby grips, pins and elastic bands. Please feel free to bring your camera to take pictures of your work.

Some hairdressing skills are preferred but not essential. This Foundation Course is suitable as a refresher for stylists and also for Beauty Therapists who are looking to offer a ‘Bridal Package’ that includes Long Hair Dressing.

A Certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the Course.

Balmain Double Hair

This one day Course will focus on Double Hair for length. Demonstrations will be given, followed by a mix of practical and theoretical training where you will use a model to create a full head lengthening. The knowledge you gain will provide you with the skills required to offer lengthening with Double Hair in the Salon.

If you are using a model, you will be required to purchase two packs of Fill-in Hair Extensions as well as the Double Hair treatment before the Course. This hair, along with the double hair treatment must be colour matched to your model.

Caflon - Ear Piercing

This Course offers a complete understanding of the history of Caflon and adetailed description of all the essential products being used in Ear Piercing. Students will view a complete, thorough demonstration on how to use the equipment and how to explain the procedure to Clients. Students will thenpractice a simulated demonstration before piercing their model’s ears. Allpiercing will be supervised by the Trainer and there will be a Questions &Answers Session so that you may get clarification on any areas not understood.

You will be required to provide a model for this Course. Models must be aged 16 or over. The duration of this Course is approximately 2 hours.

THAI Spa Treatment Course

This is a modular training program, the Course is taught over 4 days andstudents are invited to study at their own pace, either participating for all 4 days or choosing to book on individual day Courses. It is suitable for the completebeginner but can be tailored to the postgraduate.

Discover this fusion of totally unique spa ritual treatments to indulge body and mind. A restorative manicure massage treatment, a relaxing pedicure massage treatment and a balancing and revitalising facial treatment. terms and conditions

Sally Salon Services Ltd Terms and ConditionsApplication to attend any course within this Training Prospectus is on the understanding that booking a place on a course is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by you:

1. The CourseYou will be allocated your place(s) on the course(s) on payment of the full fee(s). We reserve the right to decline applications.

2. Course FeesCourse fees and details are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to vary these from time to time.

3. PaymentWhere a booking is made at least 15 days prior to a course date, a non-refundable deposit of £50 is payable at the time of booking with the balance payable 14 days prior to the course date. If you fail to pay the balance on time you forfeit your place on the course together with the deposit.

Where a booking is made within 14 days of the course date the full fee must be paid at time of booking. Payments made via Credit Cards over the telephone must be made by the cardholder. We will not accept these payment details by a third party.

4. Course ContentWe will endeavour to cover all the topics outlined in the relevant section of this Training Prospectus, but we do not accept liability for failure to cover all or any part thereof and we reserve the right to vary the course contents at any time without reference or notification to you. You acknowledge that all course material, programme material or copies of such and allintellectual property rights in such materials (including but not limited to copyright) are the property of Sally Salon Services. Neither you nor your substitute delegate will copy the whole or any part of those materials without our written consent.

5. Course Prerequisites Please ensure you comply with the relevant pre-requisites as detailed in the course. Where you are be required to bring models and/or your own hairdressing tools, this includes but is not limited to brushes, combs, gowns and hairdryers. When bringing electrical equipment (not limited to hairdryers, clipper and hair straighteners), please ensure it has a safety certificate (complying with the Electrical Safety at Work Regulations under the Health and Safety Act). Where models are used, you must ensure they are over 16 years of age. Where any colour is being applied in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s instructions you must ensure that the colour product is skin tested on your model at least 48 hours before the course . We strongly advise you to check, prior to the commencement date of the course, with the relevant store where you will be attending the course that any kit required for the course is in stock.

6. CancellationOnce booked, NO refund will be given if you cancel your place(s).If you fail to attend a booked course you will not be entitled to a refund or offered an alternative course. If you have failed to attend a course because of a medical condition, Sally Salon Services may at its absolute discretion, on being presented with a valid medical certificate and subject to an administration fee of £20 payable by you, offer you a place on an alternative course of equivalent value. We may, at our absolute discretion, agree to accept a substitute delegate in your place subject to you paying an administration fee of £20. A substitute will be required to sign a declaration that they accept these Terms and Conditions before attending the course, failing which they will not be permitted to attend the course and we will have no further obligation or liability to you.

We reserve the right to cancel any course or any place you have booked at any time prior to the scheduled commencement date of your course. Our liability to you will be limited to a full refund of the course fee paid by you.

In the unlikely event we are forced to cancel the course less than 6 days before the commencement date of the course, due to circumstances beyond our control, for example if the trainer falls ill or due to adverse weather conditions, our liability to you will be limited to a refund equivalent to the course fee paid by you.

Where we cancel a course for any reason whatsoever we will notify you as soon as possible in writing or by telephone or by email, as appropriate.

7.Insurance CoverIt is your responsibility to check that your insurance company will cover you on these courses before booking.

8. LiabilityOur entire liability to you or your substitute is subject to the limitations set out in these Terms and Conditions.

We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to you or any third parties whatsoever howsoever arising, whether direct or indirect, whether it be by act or omission on our part but not so as to exclude liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence.

9. Data ProtectionWe may use your personal data for administrative and update purposes and we may keep this information for areasonable period and may contact you by post email, SMS or telephone to let you know about any courses orpromotions which might be of interest to you. We may also share your personal data with our third party training providers in relation to the courses offered in this Training Prospectus, on the basis that they will not divulge your details with any other third party.

10. GeneralNo variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing between us and/or your substitute delegate. You acknowledge that these Terms and Conditions supersede any written or verbal communication.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts, to which both parties submit. None of these Terms andConditions shall be enforceable under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by a third party other than any substitute of yours .
