persons wants to remain at the top of their fitness regimes

at all times. This has naturally led to the immense and

critical importance & necessity of Sports science

specialists in the lives of sports persons. In order to excel,

the help and guidance of such specialists is essential nowadays. For those

What is Sports Science?

Scientific support to sports and sports resembling activities is known as Sports Sciences. This is a relatively young discipline that started gaining popularity in the last quarter of the 20th century. Sports Science reflects the seriousness with which sports and fitness are approached today. This is the stream which incorporates aspectsof exercise physiology and fitness, basics and primary care for sports injuries, prevention of sports injuries, management of serious sports injuries, BLS training, Sports Performance Enhancement, anti doping, Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition and many similar services. Apart from this, modern Sports Science also includes Sports Management, Sports Law and Sports Journalism in its perspective. This multi disciplinary subject draws on fields such as physiology and bio mechanics to measure what is happening in a sports person’s body; psychology to analyze the role of the mind in performance; nutrition to help athletes fuel their bodies correctly and business & sports management to understand the financial and operational sides of the sports industry. With increasing activity levels and sports enthusiasm in the society, the number of sports population has increased which has made this an emerging stream in today’s world. Sports science has always been in high demand in Europe and western world. As India is also pacing to achieve western standards, sports science is going to play a major role to achieve this goal.

Entry requirements for Sports Science Diploma

Open to all graduate, though preference will be given to graduates in Science Stream. Besides, Physical Training Graduates (BPED), Physiotherapist ( BPT), BAMS, Nutritionist, Medical Graduates, MBBS and Nursing graduates will get special preference for this course.

About the Course

Sports Science education initiative is a joint venture of Thar Association of Sports Medicine and JJLT, Jhunjhunu.

Thar Association of Sports Medicine is the only formal organization of Rajasthan in the field of sports medicine which is also associated with Indian Association of Sports Medicine.

SJJT is the upcoming educational hub for the population of Rajasthan and nationwide. The University already houses sports facilities with physical education department and will further enhance experience for sports scientists with this course.

Study Pattern

Full time study pattern to give you best in the field lectures at study center, practical

experiences at sports science lab and sports fields and sports clubs. Course will not

only include crisp knowledge lectures but also real sports events participations as
