Special Height-Short Cycle DeliveryOEM Component Combinations

This 5kV, special height (78") switchgear required a unique arrangement of terminating in and out of the top of the switchgear. The additional requirements of fitting an existing space and shipping in under four weeks from date of order did not pose a problem for SPS. PowerCon switches and Eaton/Cutler - Hammer fuses were utilized in this design.

Meeting Specifications These 15kV, NEMA 3R, non-fused transformer disconnects were supplied to match up to new Cooper Power Systems Transformers. Direct-drive side operated ABB switches, concealed hinges and flex connectors, were specific requirements in satisfying the specifications for this project.

Colors and Devices This 15kV transformer disconnect required special paint; ventilation; gasketed covers; a fixed Eaton VCP-T circuit breaker and a GE Multilin relay in a NEMA 3R design to match up with a dry type transformer from Virginia Transformer.
