FBC Household “GAP” Ministry

In partnership with LOVE INC, FBC has a “GAP” ministry, providing Household items, for individuals and families in need. You may have notice a basket in the Family Center where items like Bedding, Blankets, Pillows, Towels, Pots & Pans, Dishes and more are being collected year round.

FBC GIVING TREE, Dec. 04—18. Some of the greatest needs now, will be listed

on our GIVING TREE. Tag items include: tents, tarps, sleeping bags, toys, winter hats/scarves/socks, and more. We invite you & your family to TAKE A TAG, and provided the needed items, returning them by Dec. 18! [new or gently used]

beyond Christmas… Carol Kendrick heads up our Household “GAP” ministry.

She is committed to ministering to individuals & families in need, with love & respect, and opens the door on 4th street to welcome LOVE INC families in, and let them choose from the items stored there.

Would you be willing to join Carol one day a month? Help sort & inventory items received. Help launder and “wrap with ribbons” bedding & towel sets. WELCOME families in ? Please consider how you may be used by the Lord to reach families through this ministry. Contact Carol @ 898.8300

Acts Part 2 - Precept Workbook (NASB) Paul, Jesus' Witness to the Gentiles - (chp,13-28) (8 lessons)

Jesus promised His disciples that they would take the gospel to the remotest parts of the earth. Observe Paul's transformation from persecutor of the church to preacher. Join him on his jour-neys across the Roman world to proclaim the saving message of Jesus to Jews and Gentiles. Learn how to witness and how to live an authentic Christian life in all circumstances in the power of the Holy Spirit. Learn to be like Paul, to be bold in proclaiming the name of Jesus and to trust our sovereign Lord who enables us to endure persecution and suffering at the hands of those who hate Jesus...and therefore, hate us. Precept Upon Precept is a Precept Inductive Bible Study which features the Precept Inductive Bible Study Method. Discover Truth for Yourself.

Here at First Baptist Church we believe that Christian women can live here in Shelton, make a difference by walking with Christ, and help one another through Christ’s love. Our heart is to reach women inside and outside the church with the love of Christ, see them grow in their walk, and apply God’s Word to their lives. We want to encourage, equip, and strengthen ladies in their faith by providing Women’s Bible Studies.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of God stands forever.” –Isaiah 40:8

Dear church family,

Thankyou so much for your love and

support during this hard time for our

family, we are thankful for each one

of you, and we feel so loved.

Don & Val Robbins

Merry Christmas FBC Families!

Parents: Thank you so much for helping your child prepare for our special upcoming Christmas Celebration Services!

On Sunday, December 18, the children will be singing during both church services. We hope you’ll enjoy their gift of song, and love for Jesus!

Children need to be at the church in Rm. 105 by 8:45 am! Please plan on coming to the 1st service so that your child can sing for both services. The children preform at the beginning of each service so you need not stay for the entire second service! We will plan on a fun party for the children, after they finish singing in the 1st service. Parents please pick up your children in Rm. 105 after they finish singing in the 2nd service. Mandatory Dress Rehearsal + Pizza Party: Friday, December 16, from 6-8 pm. We will be rehearsing with the Worship Team, so it is important to have every child there!

We’ll be serving the kids PIZZA, so no need to fix dinner. Enjoy a bit of time for yourself to go shopping or just have an evening out! Please RSVP to [email protected], / 426.8461 to let us know your child will be attending, so we know how much pizza to order.

Serving Him Together, Lynn Foster
