FBC Family,
It is such a joy to serve this faith-family and our Mason County community. Paul would pray like this for the churches he served: “I thank my God always for you.” I feel the same about our church.
Spring is quickly approaching. Here are two events that are on the front burner:
1) On March 22 we are launching a new 5-week series out of
1 Corinthians 7 called “Relationship Status.”
You don’t want to miss this! Whatever our relationship status happens to be,
God has A LOT to say about how we live for Him and with others.
We’ll kick off our series with a party that will include food (of course) and photos. That’s right photos. We’ll have a couple of PHOTO BOOTHS to capture you and the many amazing people here at FBC. Also, if you’re not in a Small Group, this is the time to jump in and join the conversation and Christian community.
2) We will be celebrating the greatest event ever on
April 5th
— The Resurrection of Jesus. The two things I’d like you to do are to Bring people and to Pray.
There are two unique times out of the year when people are really responsive to an invitation to church, and Easter is at the top of this short list.
Pray about that person or those people that you will bring. And then bring them. And let’s pray that God will continue His work of changing lives as the gospel is proclaimed on Easter Sunday.
The last thing I’d like to remind you of is our mission.
We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ: a people of Truth, with Character, in Community, and on Mission.
Would you say that out loud to yourself a couple of times (no one has to be around)? I know it sounds strange to do that, but you will find it helpful to understand what God wants this faith-family to pursue.
In His Grip,
Pastor Jake Magee

Shelton FBC Families –
We have begun using our NEW CHECK IN SYSTEM in the downstairs classrooms on Sunday mornings.
In the near future we will be expanding this system to include the upstairs nursery and toddler rooms. Thank you for partnering with us in having a safe, secure environment for the youngest of our church family!
What to expect: Before entering the classroom, please stop by the check-in area to sign in your child(ren). A volunteer will be at each kiosk to assist you.
Each child will receive a nametag with a unique security code. Children must have a nametag prior to entering the classroom.
When parents pick up their child they are required to show the matching parent pick up code in order to leave the classroom with their child.
1st Tues. Night of each month. Join us Mar. 03 6:00—8:00 pm @ FBC

Junior High Youth:
Wednesday nights are an exciting time for our 6th-8th grade students! Our teaching topic is Who Is Jesus? We are currently looking at the way Jesus interacted with Mean People. Be praying the Gospel does it’s work in the heart and minds of our youth.
The 6th-8th grade will be taking off April 26-28 for a SPRING RETREAT! We will be joining a couple of other churches at Crista Ministries Island Lake Camp. Our leaders are excited for extra time with the students.
High School Youth:
What is prayer? Why do we pray? How do we pray? These are questions our high school youth group has been answering as we look at the topic of prayer. We are discovering that prayer is so much more than a wants and needs list for God but is in fact our way to have a real relationship with God!
15 HS students will be flying out to Nicaragua this summer to build a church! Jeff and Nancy Brady, along with Pastor James and a fantastic team of adults will lead the teens on a 10 day short-term mission. Please be praying for soft hearts and deepening relationships with Jesus.
Our students are raising money for the trip.
If you have work projects or would like to support the students, please contact Pastor James at 426-8461 or [email protected].
