I announced Mondaynight that a grand jurydetermined not to indict
police officer Darren Wilsonor atally shooting MichaelBrown last August. Te juryound that Wilson shot Brownin the line o duty under cred-ible threat against his own lie.Immediately, protests began incities across the nation.
In Ferguson, Missouri, where the event occurred, theprotests quickly descendedinto violence. More than structures and cars were seton fire. Officers reported acingheavy automatic gunfire, andprotesters throwing molotovcocktails. One reporter wasattacked by someone wearinga Guy Fawkes mask, anotherwas hit in the head with a rockduring a live broadcast, and another was chased off air by
gunfire. Vandalism and looting were rampant, with eventhe store that Michael Brown had robbed beore he waskilled being looted. Te Federal Aviation Administrationbegan diverting some St. Louis-bound flights to other air-ports due to the reports o gunshots. At least people werearrested on charges ranging rom trespassing to burglaryto receiving stolen property. Police also deployed tear gason at least one location to contain rioting.
Consider why this mayhem is happening. Tink aboutthe incredibly toxic ideas that are turning this into such a
volatile moment.Tere are Americans who believe the reason this white
policeman killed this young black man is pure racial ani-mus. Tey are sure that at the time o the killing, the black
man was raising his hands in surrender, posing no threat;the policeman shot him in cold blood out o murderoushatred or blacks.
Tey urther believe that there exists a pattern o suchattacksthat blacks ace regular i not continual harass-ment rom authorities and citizens across the countrythat young black men must ear, even or their lives, romwhites (or even, in the case o George Zimmerman, whiteHispanics) who are looking or any pretext to go aferthem.
Tey urther believe that the grand jurys acquittal isbased on racial hostility

Iran: The Islamic StateDiverts Muslims FromPalestine
ARUTZ SHEVA | November 26
A by Iranian SupremeLeader Ayatollah Ali Khameneisown website and Fars news, at a con-erence in ehran on Monday, Khame-nei accused [the Islamic State,] all
other Sunnis and Sunni governments, which battle any pro-Iranian Arabregimes and Shia militias, o divertingMuslims away rom fighting Israel.
Te oreront o Muslims strugglein the region was ocused on theoccupied Palestine [sic], Khame-nei wrote, but the akfiri streamchanged this ront line, and moved itinto the streets and cities o Iraq, Syria,Pakistan and Libya. Tis, he stated,
I you missed it, on September , the Islamic
Republic o Iran expanded its oreign holdings to includeSanaa, the capital city o Yemen. Tat same day, Iran alsotook over Yemens al-Hudaydah port, almost milessouthwest o Sanaa, on the eastern bank o the Red Sea.
Capturing these Yemeni strongholds indicates Iran isright now pushing to implement its strategy o controllingthe Red Sea,as previously orecast by the Trumpet.
o reach the Mediterranean Sea rom the Indian Ocean, all seaaring trade, including million barrels o oil per day, must pass through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Measuring
just miles across, the channel is the closest point betweenthe two landmasses o central Arica and the ArabianPeninsula. Te northeast edge o the strait is firmly within
Yemeni territory. Te strategic importance o controlling thispassage is equal to controlling the Suez Canal, since both arepart o the same thoroughare.
o control this trade route, Iran needs to dominate Yemen.Tat is why the events o September are so significant. Irandid not send its Revolutionary Guard to gain control o thecountry. Rather, as witnessed in Lebanon with Hezbollah,Iran activated one o its terrorist proxies to do its legwork. InYemen, Hezbollah is Ansar Allah, the military wing o theShiite Houthi tribe, which comprises percent o Yemenspopulation. Te majority o the country is Sunni.
In the two months ollowing the capture o Yemens
capital, the Houthis entered a power-sharing agreementwith the Yemeni government. Again, this is similar to whathappened in Lebanon with Hezbollah. While Iran deniesactivating and arming the Houthis in the coup, many Iranianpersonalities could not help but gloat at their achievement.
We in the axis o resistance are the new sultans o theMediterranean and the Gul, said Mohammed Sadeq al-Hosseini, adviser to ormer Iranian President MohammedKhatami. We in ehran, Damascus, [Hezbollahs] southernsuburb o Beirut, Baghdad and Sanaa will shape the region. We are the new sultans o the Red Sea as well.
Many nations, especially the European nations on the
other side o the Red Sea trade, are concerned by Iranspushy moves in Yemen. In a November act sheet analyzingthe Iranian takeover o Yemen, Michael Segall wrote(emphasis added): Iran also sees Yemen as an important
actor in its policy o establishing a physical Iranian presence, both ground and naval, in the countries and ports o theRed Sea littoral, which control the shipping lanes that leadrom the Persian Gul to the heart o the Middle East andonward to Europe. I the Shia rebels gain control o the Babel-Mandeb Strait, Iran can attain a oothold in this sensitiveregion giving access to the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, acause o concern not only or its sworn rivals Saudi Arabia,Egypt and the Gul states, but also or Israel and Europeancountries along the Mediterranean.
Arab commentators in the Gul have warned in recentyears about this Iranian push.
While Arab commentators may have speculated aboutthis push in recent years, Trumpet editor in chie GeraldFlurry has warned about this Iranian pushor almost aquarter o a century!
Furthermore, in , the Trumpet alerted readers to PayAttention to Yemen, revealing Irans plans or the country inlight o its Red Sea strategy. As we wrote back then, [W]hatdoes Iran expect to gain by establishing a strong presencein Yemen? ake a look at the accompanying map [above].Basically, Iran wants Yemen or the same reason it wantsEthiopia, Eritrea and Egypt: R S!

Lone-Wolf Attacks inIsrael?Callum Wood | November 24
T spike in violence in Israelhas garnered a new name rom thelef-wing media: lone-wol attacks.Further peddling the agenda o thebiased media, this term is deceitul atbest, murderous at worst.
Here is a quick update o attacksthis month in Israel:
An Israel Deense Forces ()soldier was stabbed in el Aviv.
Hours later, a woman was
stabbed to death and two otherswere wounded in the same attack.
A woman and child were killedin a hit-and-run.
Tree soldiers were seriouslyinjured by another hit-and-run.
Most recently, five Jews werekilled by shooting or beinghacked to death in a synagogue.
All these attacks were perpetratedby Palestinians. All happened duringNovember.
Yet the news media was quick to la-bel the latest murders as a lone-wolattack. Such has been the predictableterminology with each event, despitethe obvious similarities in both perpe-trators and their means o killing.
Using the term lone wol createsa scapegoat out o the murderers, al-leviating blame rom the shoulders othose it should rightly be placed upon:the Palestinian leadership.
Te term lone wol has been
T I leaders have been celebrating a recentlyinked extension in nuclear negotiations with the West, with leading military figures and politicians saying that thedeal is a sign that the Americans have very clearly surren-dered to Irans might, according to regional reports.
As negotiations in Vienna break up so that leaders romall sides can return to their countries or urther delibera-tions, the Iranians have already begun mocking the Westand insisting that the countrys nuclear rights will soon berecognized.
With a seven-month extension in talksoriginallyscheduled to expire on Mondayset to start in earlyDecember, nuclear experts are predicting that Iran willcontinue its most controversial nuclear work and likelyhave enough enriched uel ora bomb by June .
Te Americans have veryclearly surrendered to Irans
might, and this is obvious intheir behavior in the regionand in the negotiations, andthe enemies reservations
vis--vis Iran are completelyelt, Maj. Gen. MohammedAli Jaari, commander o theIranian Revolution Guards Corps, was quoted as sayinglate Monday ollowing the announcement o an extensionin talks.
I the United States ever decides to launch an attack on
Iran, our war will end by conquering Palestine, Jaari said.Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on
Monday in a television interview that the countrys cen-triuges will not stop, according to a translation o hisremarks.
oday we have a victory much greater than what hap-pened in the negotiation, Rouhani said. Tis victory isthat our circumstances are not like previous years. odaywe are at a point that nobody in the world [ says] sanc-tions must be increased in order that Iran accept P+demands.
No one says to reach [an] agreement we must increasepressure on Iran, Rouhani said. But they say to reach anagreement more time and more discussion is needed. Tis
is a great victory or what theIranian nation started sincelast June .
Meanwhile, nuclear
experts in the United Stateshave warned that the exten-sion will provide Iran enoughtime to produce enoughnuclear uel to power a bomb.
Te actual amount oless than percent enriched
uranium that theyre producing per month has increased,Greg Jones, a senior research and nuclear analyst at theNonprolieration Policy Education Center, said in a coner-ence call with reporters on Monday.

peddled constantly by the news mediain the latest violence in Israel. It worksto avoid the subject o Palestinian ex-tremists within the very organizations
the United States and other Western
nations are attempting to work with.Te U.S., in particular, has been push-ing or a two-state solution betweenIsrael and the Palestinian Authority.
o acknowledge that the latest attacks
are anything but lone-wol attackswould be to admit that the PA andsimilar groups are not interested inpeaceul negotiationsjust thede-
struction o Israel.
T N deadline came and went or an agree-ment between the powers and the Islamic Republic oIran; on that date, they managed only to extend the exist-ing interim deal or another seven months. Te ayatollahcrowed and U.S. senators stewed. Looking beyond these
responses, the current situation spurs several thoughts: I one assumes, as I do, that the apocalyptically-
minded Iranian leadership will do everything it canto acquire the bomb, then economic sanc-tions only serve to slowits course, not to stopit. Put more orce-ully, the debate oversanctions is peripheraland even diversionary.Te arcane financialand scientific minutiae
o the negotiationstend to bury the onlydiscussion that reallymatterswhether or not some government will useorce to reverse the nuclear program.
Tat said, should the th Congress pass legislation
with a veto-proo majority, this would be an unprec-edented blow against [U.S. President] Barack Obamaand would presumably serve as a low-water mark ohis presidency. But this signal event or Americandomestic politics is unlikely to affect the Iranian
program. Some governments (Russian, American) have the
means but not the intent to destroy the Iranian acili-ties. Others have the intent(Saudi, Canadian) but notthe means. Tis leaves onlyone player, which sort ohas the means and sort othe intent: Israel. Given itsin-between status, whetherit will act is the ,question.
Israels conundrum ap-
pears genuine: On the onehand, this is [the] only stateto have knocked out nuclear
programs on the other, the logistical challengeand supremely high stakes make this round ar moredaunting.

The president is pursuing a nuclear-free world by cut-ting Americas nuclear programbut he also has said, Nosingle nation should pick and choose which nations holdnuclear weapons. So he is also increasing the likelihoodthat Iran will finish building its own nuclear bombs! Mean-while the Obama administration is being very carelesswith hundreds of nuclear bombs that America has storedin Europe and in Turkeybombs that could easily be used
against us. Gerald Flurry, Europes Nuclear Secret,Trumpet,January 2014

Yet he was particularly vivid indepicting its sense o decline. Weencounter a general impression oweariness and ageing, o a Europethat is now a grandmother, no longerertile and vibrant, the pope said.
Te great ideals which once in-spired Europe seem to have lost theirattraction, only to be replaced by thebureaucratic technicalities o its insti-tutions, he added.
Te pope exhorted the lawmakers,
who were elected in May, to buildEurope not around the economy, butaround the sacred nature o the hu-man person.
As well as his speech at the Par-liament, Pope Franciss Strasbourg
visit also included a meeting with a-year-old German woman who hadhosted him in when he was study-ing theology at the Goethe Institute inBoppard, in the nearby Rhineland.
His reception was overwhelminglypositive in the Parliament, which hasseen a big increase in populist, euro-skeptic members voted in amid dis-content with Europes economic slide.

In the case o the recent air incur-sions, he said, the message was clear:
Tey were testing how wed react. But the palpable anxiety in this
country that many in the West con-sider a model o progressive and stable
democratic governance reflects how un-settled Europe has become since Rus-sias annexation o Crimea in March.
Finnish Prime Minister AlexanderStubb has argued that the countryneeds to join , and a growingshare o the public seems to agree, although the issue remains hugelysensitive here.

Over the past ew years, the EUspolicy toward the states o the West-

Russia has long ocused much o itsattention on Belgrade, which has tra-ditionally had firm ties with Moscow.Over the past year, Serbias Presidentomislav Nikoli has orged a closerelationship with Putin while trying atthe same time to bring Serbia nearerto the EU.
In , during a visit to Putinssummer residence in Sochi, Nikolisigned a declaration on strategicpartnership between Belgrade andMoscow. Later that year, Serbia signeda military cooperation agreement withRussia. And in October , muchto Berlins chagrin, Serbia rolled outthe red carpet or Putin, with Nikoliawarding him the countrys highestorder.
Russia is also meddling in neigh-boring Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tere,
Moscow has long been a staunch sup-porter o the Republika Srpska, one othe countrys two entities, and o itspresident, Milorad Dodik. Dodik hasrepeatedly held up reorms, especiallyin the judiciarynot that Bosniasother leaders have been enthusiasticabout introducing long-overdue social, economic and political reorms.
G -S and resentment towards Israelhas risen sharply in recent months, with more than onein our respondents in a new poll equating the Jewish statestreatment o Palestinians to Nazi persecution o Jews dur-ing World War .
Te biannual survey on xenophobia in Germany by theFriedrich Ebert Foundation showed broad measures oanti-Semitism on the decline over the past decade.
But it also showed a spike in negative views towardsIsrael and Jews in general between June and September, coinciding with the conflict between Israel and Hamasmilitants in Gaza.
When asked in September, or example, whetherthey believed Jews, because o their actions, were partly
responsible or their own persecution, percent o respon-dents agreed, up rom less than percent in June.
Just over percent o those surveyed in September saidthey broadly or ully agreed with the idea that Israels treat-ment o the Palestinians was no different than Nazi perse-
cution o Jews during the Holocaust, when million Jewswere murdered.
Tat survey result was stil l down significantly rom ,when over percent o respondents agreed with this state-ment. One in five respondents, in the survey o , Germancitizens, said Israels policies made Jews less likeable.
Te lines between anti-Semitism and substantive criti-cism o Israel are becoming blurred and that is a problem, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation said in a statement.

F European navies roamed the worldsseasto explore, to trade, to establish empires and towage war. So it will be quite a moment when the ChineseNavy appears in the Mediterranean next spring, on jointexercises with the Russians.
[R]ussia and China are making an important state-ment about world affairs. Both nations object to Westernmilitary operations close to their borders. China com-plains about U.S. naval patrols just off its coast; Russia railsagainst the expansion o . By staging joint exercises inthe Mediterranean, the Chinese and Russians would send adeliberate message: I can patrol near their rontiers, they too can patrol in s heartland.
Behind this muscle-flexing, however, the Russians andChinese are pushing or a broader reordering o world a-airs based around the idea o spheres o influence. BothChina and Russia believe that they should have veto rightsabout what goes on in their immediate neighborhoods.
Russia argues that it is unacceptable that Ukrainea coun-try ruled rom Moscow or centuriesshould now join theWestern alliance. Te Putin governments aspiration ora Eurasian Union also seems intended to reestablish aRussian zone o influence over much o the ormer SovietUnionwhich could then counterbalance the EU.
Until recently, China relied primarily on its economicmight to spread its influence throughout Asia. But Beijinghas now also become more directly assertive on securitymatters.
Tere are some in the West who suggest that Russiaand China should be tacitly granted these spheres o influ-
ence. Te Obama administration, however, has explicitly setitsel against this idea. ony Blinken, U.S. deputy nationalsecurity adviser, has said o Russias aspirations: Wecontinue to reject the notion o a sphere o influence. Wecontinue to stand by the right o sovereign democracies tochoose their own alliances.
As Mr. Blinkens statement makes clear, the Americansbelieve that the argument about spheres o influence isabout the deense o a undamental principle. I undemo-cratic countries, such as Russia and China, are conceded asphere o influence in their neighborhoods, they are implic-
itly granted a veto over the policies pursued by nominallyindependent nations. Russia can orbid Ukraine rom join-ing or the EU. China can orce Vietnam, the Philip-pinesor even Japanto pay tribute.
As ar as the Russians and Chinese are concerned, however, this is an argument that is undamentally aboutpowerand all U.S. talk about principle is simplyhypocrisy. Afer all, ever since the Monroe Doctrine wasannounced in , America has proclaimed its intentionto keep outsiders away rom its own hemisphere. In recentdecades, it has intervened militarily in Grenada, Panamaand Haiti. Even more recentlyas the Russians never tireo pointing outthe U.S. has led military interventions ar
rom home, in Iraq, Aghanistan and now Syria.Indeed, as Moscow sees it, Americas global military
reach is so pervasive that Washington has got used to treat-ing the whole world as its sphere o influence. Tere areU.S. troops in Japan and South Korea, U.S. naval and airorce bases in Bahrain and Qatar, and bases all overEuropeto name just a ew o Americas most high-profileglobal commitments.
Te American response is to point out that the U.S.global military presence is built around alliances betweenwilling partners. Henceorth, it seems, America willendorse what a Soviet spokesman once called the Sinatra
doctrinethe idea that all nations can do it their way.It will not be hard or the governments in Moscow andBeijing to point to continuing inconsistencies in Americasrejection o spheres o influence. But the U.S. argument stil lrests on a basic truth. Tere is a vast difference between asphere o influence based on willing consent and one that isconstructed around intimidation and orce.

Tis is the clearest statement rom an official source (asopposed to the news media) o Chinas position viz theUkrainian crisis that China has made to date. Because itis made by an official rather than a minister it has gonealmost unnoticed.
However, that is how China works: Statements o thissort are first floated in the media, then made ormallybut at a relatively low level, ollowing which, they become
uncontested policy.Suffice [it] to say that it is inconceivable that the official
in question would have spoken out in this way withoutclearance rom the very highest levels o the Chinesegovernment and the act that in his conversation to he
actually quotes comments made by Xi Jinping in telephoneconversations with Putin puts that question beyond doubt.
I have always elt that the Chinese dimension in influenc-ing Russias Ukrainian policy is consistently underestimated.
I am sure that every single step Moscow has taken sincethe start o the Ukrainian crisis has been discussed andcoordinated with Beijing at the highest possible level. Weshould not make the mistake o thinking that the onlyconversations between Putin and Xi Jinping are those thatare officially or publicly reported.

alone. Teir mistrust o and cynicismabout the justice system is so deep thatthey are certain the jury did not rulebased on acts and evidence, but inspite o acts and evidence. Tey knowthat the only reason Wilson was oundinnocent is the systems inherently rac-ist nature.
Tese views are held by a lot o Americans. Tis typeo thinking is producing a lot o anger and hostility. In astatement shortly afer the grand jury announcement wasmade, President Barack Obama said, []here are Ameri-
cans who are deeply upset, even angry. Its an understand-able reaction.
Among those who believe all o that, there are somewho are are so sure o these convictions, so certain o thesystems innate anti-black bigotry, that they are ready torise up in violent protest. Not directly, specifically againstpolice officers or government officials that they have provento be racist, but against authority in generaland evenagainst society in general. Tey believe the injustice theyhave been dealt is so egregious that they are justified atlashing out at virtually anythingsmashing shop windows, looting stores, creating general mayhem.
Surely the number o Americans who ollow such rea-soning, as it were, are very ew. But they are numerousenough to arrest the attention o media and law enorce-ment, and countless others o us who are apprehensiveabout what they are about to do. And truth be told, this isnot unwarranted apprehension; it has been built over timein recent years, incident by indiscriminately violent incident.
Further, that group o toxic, non-thinking Americans, however small, is legitimized, unapologetically, by manyquite-mainstream political, academic and media voices.Tese supposedly enlightened thinkers insist that violentracial protests and outbursts are, i not justifiable, certainlyunderstandable, given the oppression that blacks ace
within American society. We must acknowledge that America has come to recog-
nize and accept an extraordinary level o wholly irrational, dangerously noxious racial animosity as simply a part olie in this country.
Tis is not a situation that will blow over when the Fer-guson protests die out. According to biblical prophecy, it isbuilding to a nation-destroying crisis point.
