WHAT IS TWO GREAT END-TIME DECEPTIONS ABOUT?Two Great End-Time Deceptions this document primarily discusses the controversy

surrounding the Ten Commandments, in the Bible.

In modern times, the whole world (even the Christian church) has uniformly trampled Gods

holy Law underfoot. The critical objective of this document is to restore Gods Law to its

original sacredness, such that it will be regarded as it should be: with solemn respect and awe.

The focus of this discussion is the Sabbath. The Sabba th of the LORD thy God is from

sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday. The seventh day of the week, which God

blessed especially, is holy. It is Gods appointed day of worship. The purpose of worshipping

on the Sabbath is to cultivate ones own character, developing your relationship with God.

The Gospel is more than just the cross. (And thank God for the cross!) The Gospel is health

reform; dress reform; social reform; diet reform; speech reform all these things are GOODNEWS! Gods True Church, through the merits of Christs grace, overcomes her sins!

This document is written mostly for Christians who do not

observe the Sabbath. However, non-believers will also find the

literature contained herein remarkable and fascinating.

    The contents of this document:

Two Great End-Time Deceptionso These two great deceptions, found at the end of the world, are related. If you

believe one, then you will automatically believe the other also. They are (1),

that the Law was nullified at the cross, and (2), that man is by nature immortal. What Is TRUTH? Made Only For The Jews?

o Was the Sabbath made only for Jewish people? How can we know for sure? Out Of Gods Own Mouth

o At Mt. Sinai, Godspoke His own Law. What are the implications of this? Which Day Is The LORDS Day? The Sabbath In The Book Of Acts

o Is Sabbath observance recorded in the New Testament? If so, then how comeno one preaches it? Have the apostate Sunday-preachers been lying?

Gods Law vs. Moses Lawo Did you know that the Bible actually speaks of TWO Laws? What Can Jesus Do For You?

o Essentially, Jesus is the key to a clean heart. Christ is the source of every rightimpulse. He is the only one that can implant in the heart enmity against sin.

Prayer is Heavens ordained means of success in the conflict wi th sin and the

development of the Christian character. Jesus Christ purifies us from all evil.

What Is Gods Law Like?o Gods Law is like a mirror. It can only present before us our condition. In

itself, it cannot cleanse us from our sins. Only Jesus Christ can do that.

Gods Law Is A Transcript Of His Character 17 Facts About GRACE The Ten Commandments

Some teach that Gods Law is no longer binding today. What does the Bible say?

If there is no Law, then there can be no sin:o Romans 3:20 For by the Law is the knowledge of sin.o Romans 4:15 For where no Law is, there is no transgression.o Romans 7:7 I had not known sin, but by the Law.o 1 John 3:4 For sin is the transgression of the Law.

If there is no sin, then there can be no death:o Romans 5:12 By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin.o

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death.o 1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin.o James 1:15 Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Now if there is no death, because theres no Law, then I am therefore immortal! However, God alone is immortal:

o Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God.o Isaiah 9:6 The everlasting Father.o Isaiah 57:15 The high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity.o Romans 16:26 The everlasting God.o 1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King Eternal, immortal the only wise God.o 1 Timothy 6:16 Who onlyhath immortality.

Therefore, I must be God.Now notice this:

Genesis 3:1-5 Now the serpent was more subtlethan any beast of the field which the LORD

God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every

tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees

of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said,

Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent saidunto thewoman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your

eyes shall be opened, andye shal l be as gods, knowing good and evil.

    So, where is the origin of the idea that (1), the Law is not needed because theres no death;

and (2), that man is by nature immortal? This dangerous, apostate philosophy is derived

directly from Satan, the serpent, whom the Bible indicates is the father of all lies (John 8:44)!

Incidentally, the widespread understanding today ofhellan ever-burning torture chamber

where sinners are eternally tormented in fire is wrong. The root of this satanic theology is

the idea that man is by nature immortal. It is not in the Bible! This pagan theology comes

    from the Devil. It has no foundation in the truth. There are many verses I can show you whichall disprove it as fiction. Genesis 2:7, 17; Ezekiel 18:4, 20; Malachi 4:1-3; Matthew 10:28;

Some teach that the Ten Commandments, or the Sabbath more specifically, were only for the

Jewish nation. However if thats true, then why does it say right here that even the angels

keep Gods Commandments? Are we now above the angels? Is God a God of lawlessness?

God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into

chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. 2 Peter 2:4.

Long before the Jewish nation ever even existed, the great dragon was cast out, that old

The angels broke the Law of God before any Jew was born. This proves that the Law of God

is the foundation ofGods government in Heaven. It applies to all people of all creeds at all

times. And all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. Everyone

has broken Gods Law. This proves that it applies to all people, and not only to the Jews.

The Sabbath was made at Creation for the whole human family. Jesus has stated plainly that,The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27.

The LORD has stated, If his children forsake My Law, and walk not in My judgments; if

they break My statutes, and keep not My Commandments; then will I visit their transgression

with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Psalm 89:30-32. The reader must understand

that a supremely holy and just God will punish the impenitent. The Bible says, They that

forsake the Law praise the wickedandwhoso keepeth the Law is a wise son. Proverbs

28:4, 7. The gospel of law-less-ness is the gospel of Satan. It is not Gods Gospel!

OOuuttOOffGGooddssOOwwnnMMoouutthhWhen the Ten Commandments were given, they were spoken right out of the mouth of God.

In Genesis chapter 1, we are told that material substance can be created from nothingwhen

GOD SPEAKS with power. Thats how powerful God is! When speaking of His Law,

Exodus 20:1 says God spake all these words, saying

Deuteronomy 8:3 Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out

of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out ofthe mouth of God.

Luke 4:4 It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

The LORD has stated that mankind is to live by every word which He has spoken. God

spoke all Ten of His Commandments. He actually wrote them Himself on two tables of stone.

If man is to live by every word of God, then how can it be acceptable to observe nine of the

Commandments whilst ignoring the injunction to keep holy the seventh-day?

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips. Psalm 89:34.

The Sabbath is a perpetual covenant (Exodus 31:16) which came out ofGods own lips. Itis an agreement between God and His children. It can therefore never change or be altered.

WWhhiicchhDDaayyIIssTThheeLLOORRDDSSDDaayy??Jesus Himself told us that, The Son of man is Lord even of The Sabbath Day. (Matthew

12:8; Mark 2:28; Luke 6:5.) Additionally, God has told us plainly that The Sabbath is My

Holy Day. (Isaiah 58:13.) The seventh-day Sabbath is the sole property of the LORD.

Some teach that the New Testament is against the Law. I wonder if theyve ever seen thefollowing verses. Are they aware that each Commandment is repeated in the New Testament?

In Hebrews 4:9, the word rest is the original Greek word sabbatismos. The Strongs

    Concordance defines that word like this: Strongs #4520 sabbatismos {sab-bat-is-mos}

    1) A keeping Sabbath2) The blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true

worshippers of God and true Christians

    (1) is the primary definition of the word. Hence the Bible is suggesting here that There

remaineth therefore a rest [a sabbatismos, a keeping Sabbath] to the people of God.

Anybody who truly wishes to serve God reverently will keep the Sabbath. To understand the

context behind the statement, Hebrews 4:3 tells us to enter into rest. This word rest

means to cease from work (Hebrews 4:10). Seeing as God worked six literal days and then

rested (Genesis 2:1-3; Hebrews 4:4, 10), we are to also rest on the seventh day (Hebrews 4:4,

6, 9). If a new day were required, Jesus wouldve told us about it (Hebrews 4:8)!

Dear friends, the apostles kept the Sabbath holy. Even the Gentiles kept it (Acts 13:42; 18:4).

There is no difference between the Jews and the Greeks (Romans 10:12; Galatians 3:28), for

God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). Jesus kept the Sabbath. Isnt He ourExample?

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with

And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

And on the Sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be

made; and we sat down. Acts 16:13.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues

    every Sabbathday. Acts 15:21.

the voices of theprophets are read every Sabbath day... Acts 13:27.

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these

words might be preached to them the next Sabbath And the next Sabbath day came almost

the whole city together to hear the word of God. Acts 13:42, 44.

Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, preached that Sabbath day to almost the whole city. That

doesnt sound very much Sunday-keeping to me!

By contrast, there is only a single example in Acts 20:7 that mentions the apostles gathering

the first day of the week, which in those days meant Saturday evening. This meeting washeld overnight. There were many lights in the upper chamber. Acts 20:8. Upon this

occasion they broke bread, which was something they did every day (Acts 2:46).

Then on Sunday after the sun had risen, we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there

intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot. And when he

met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene. Acts 20:13-14. On Sunday, the

apostle Paul walked to Assos on foot. Thats about 18 miles from Troas. He may have been

hot, sweaty and exhausted. Does this sound like resting to you? It doesnt sound like resting

to me! If Sunday were to be a resting day, Paul would not have undertaken such a long trek.

It is certain that Christ Himself, His Apostles, and the Primitive Christians, for some good

space of time did constantly observe the seventh-day Sabbath. A Briefe Polemicall

Dissertation, Concerning... the Lords day-Sabbath, p 33, by William Prynne.

Do you keep Sunday in honour ofChrists resurrection? Where did the Bible tell you to do

that? JESUS told us to be baptised in honour of His resurrection. He told us to take the Lords

Supper in remembrance of Me. He did not change His Sabbath to suit mankind.

Until the second century there is no concrete evidence of a Christian weekly Sunday

celebration anywhere. The first specific references during that century come from Alexandria

and Rome, places that also early rejected observance of the seventh-day Sabbath. TheSabbath in Scripture and History, p 330, by Dr. Kenneth Strand.

Although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries on the

Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some

ancient tradition, have ceased to do this. Socrates Scholasticus (written about 440 AD),

quoted in Ecclesiastical History, Book 5, chapter 22.

And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. Acts

18:11. In this passage we are told that Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles , reasoned every

Sabbath in the synagogue for a year and six months. The purpose of these meetings was to

evangelise to the Gentiles. The subsequent conclusion to draw here is that for an entire yearand a half, Paul kept holy the true Sabbath day. A year and a half amounts to 78 Sabbaths.

    Gods Law was written on two tables of stone.(Exodus 24:12; 31:18; 32:16; 34:1, 4;

    Deuteronomy 4:13; 5:22; 9:9-11; 10:2-4)

    Mosaic Law was written in a book. (Exodus 24:4-7; Deuteronomy 31:9, 24, 26; Joshua 8:31, 32, 34;

    2 Chronicles 35:12; Nehemiah 8:1; 13:1)

Gods Law, written by God, was placed inside the

Ark of the Covenant. (Exodus 40:20; Deuteronomy

    10:2-5; 1 Kings 8:9; 2 Chronicles 5:10)

Moses Law, written by Moses, was placed

besides the Ark of the Covenant.

    (Deuteronomy 31:24-26)

Gods Law isfor us. It is called the Law of liberty.

Keeping it frees us from sin. (Psalm 119:9, 45; John

    8:31-36; Romans 13:8-10; James 1:25; 2:12)

1 John 5:3 says that it is not grievous.

The Old Testament feastdays are described to be

    against us and contrary to us. (Acts 15:24;

    21:21; Galatians 4:9-11; Colossians 2:14-17)

If you had to slay a lamb every time you sinned; if you had to travel all the way over to Jerusalem three

times every single yearwould not this be against you?! Colossians 2:14 describes blotting out the

handwritingof ordinances [feastdays] that were against us. Notice that whilst it is impossible to blot

out anythingthat is ENGRAVED on stone: it is possible to blot out the handwriting of things which are

written on paper! Therefore, Colossians 2:14-17 clearly refers to the feastday sabbaths, and NOT

the pure, holy, eternal seventh-day Sabbath of the LORD thy God. This view is supported by the

listing of meat and drink offerings in verse 16. These indeed were shadows of Jesus Christ.

Gods Law was written with the finger of God (Exodus

24:12; 31:18; 32:16; 34:1). Do you know that the Ten

Commandments were the only thing in the whole Bible

that God wrote with His own finger? For everything else,

God gave it to a prophet and the prophet wrote it down.

Moses Law was written by Moses, a human

    being! (Exodus 24:4; Deuteronomy 31:9, 24;

    2 Chronicles 33:8; 35:12; Nehemiah 9:14)

Gods Law is called the Royal Law. (James 2:8)Mosaic Law is called the law contained in

    ordinances. (Ephesians 2:15)

    Gods Law points out sin. (Romans 3:20; 4:15; 7:7;

    1 John 3:4)

Moses Law was added because of sin.

    (Leviticus 4:27-31; Galatians 3:19)

Gods Law is a transcript of His Character. It has been

there from the beginning. The Messiah, Jesus Christ, our

Saviour, magnified the Law, and made it honourable.

(Isaiah 42:21).Jesus made the Law clearer!

The feastdays were shadows of Christ.

However, there is nothing shadowy in the

Ten Commandments. Even the Sabbath was

    made before sin.

To declare that Gods Law or anyprecept of Gods Law could change or be abrogated is to imply

that God Himself could change or be abrogated. Yet we know this is clearly not true for God never

changes. There is no variableness in Him. He is eternal. His ways are everlasting. Malachi 3:6; Hebrews13:8; James 1:17; Deuteronomy 33:27; Habakkuk 3:6. See also Psalm 102:12, 27.

Gods Law is spiritual. (Romans 7:14) Mosaic Law is carnal. (Hebrews 7:16)

Gods Law is perfect. (Psalm 19:7; 119:96; James 1:25)Mosaic Law made nothing perfect.

    (Hebrews 7:19)

When webreak Gods Law, the punishment is death.

    (Genesis 2:15-17; Deuteronomy 21:22; 24:16; 30:19;

    Prov. 20:30; Ezekiel 18:4, 20; Romans 6:23;see below)

If you had broken a ceremonial law; if you

had not observed a Jewish feastday: then the

consequences were not as severe as death.Gods Lawjudges all people.

    (Romans 2:12, 13, 25; James 2:10-12)

    Carnal ordinances judge no one.

    (Acts 15:24; Colossians 2:16)

To verify that there really are two Laws, please see 2 Kings 21:8; Nehemiah 9:13-14 and

Daniel 9:11. Notice the word and in those passages, denoting both Laws. Understand also

the following usage of personal pronouns: Gods Sabbath is rendered as MYSABBATH

    (Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12-13, 16, 20; 22:8, 26) whereas the feastday sabbaths, belonging

only to the Jewish nation, are denoted as hersabbaths (Lamentations 1:7; Hosea 2:11).

Now 1 John 3:4 tells us that sin is the transgression of The Law. Romans 6:23 explains that

the wages of sin is death. Finally, all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23. Logically concluding, you deserve to die for your sins. However, Infinite Love

has freely provided your solution. That solution wasNOTto abolish The Holy, Eternal Law.

No. God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; [such that] whosoever

believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Jesus is the solution.

O give thanks unto the God of gods: for His mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136:2.

When we break the Ten Commandments, the sure result is death. The death penalty would be

inflicted even for breaking the Sabbath. However, we have no record in the Bible where thewages for breaking a ceremonial law ended in death. No person was ever stoned to death for

missing a feastday. This fact alone proves that the Sabbath of the Ten Commandments holds

different properties to the annual sabbath days. These feastdays or ordinances were

shadows of Christ (Colossians 2:17). The Sabbath on the other hand was made before sin,

and hence it cannot foreshadow the Saviour which taketh away the sin of the world.

The Sabbath in Gods Law uses the Hebrew word shabbath {shab-bawthStrongs #7676}.However, as part of Mosaic Law, the feastday sabbaths originate with the Hebrew word

shabbathown {shab-baw-thoneStrongs #7677}. Two different words are used here and no-

one seems to have picked up on this! This fact alone proves that the weekly Sabbath of God

and the annual feastday sabbaths are two different types of Sabbath altogether. One is to beheld after working six literal days. The other is dictated by annual feastdays!

The feastdays happened on certain DATES of the year. For example, Passover fell on the 14th

day of the month Abib (Exodus 12:2-6) and the Great Day of Atonement fell on the 10 th day

    of the 7th

month (Leviticus 16:29). The feastdays could fall on any day of the week, just like

the 4th of July could fall on any day of the week. The Sabbath on the other hand DOES fall on

a particular DAY of the week each week SATURDAY! Sabbath worship implies the

worship of ABBA, one of the names for God (Mark 14:36; Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6).SUNday worship, on the other hand, actually has its origins in worshipping the sun!

In fact, when a person breaks Commandment #4 they are incidentally having a false

conception of God The Father [#1]; they make an idol of themselves [#2]; they dishonour the

Name of ABBA [#3]; they dishonour their heavenly Father (2 Corinthians 6:18) [#5]; they

sin, thereby killing themselves (Ezekiel 18:4, 20; Romans 6:23) [#6]; they commit spiritual

adultery against their Husband (Jeremiah 3:14; Isaiah 54:5) [#7]; they steal that blessed,

special day which belongs to God alone [#8]; they bear false witness against themselves (for

they are deceiving themselves, 2 Timothy 3:13) and lying about God [#9] and finally,

because they have stolen something of Gods, they have therefore coveted it first [#10]. Thus

all Ten Commandments are broken LITERALLY when the Sabbath Commandment isbroken. So, can you still think that the Fourth Commandment is of no importance? Look

to the Saviour of the world for a moment, who died for your sins. Remember Him.

WWhhaattCCaannJJeessuussDDooFFoorrYYoouu??Before the Law was given formally at Mt. Sinai, the people had to wash themselves and their

clothing very thoroughly (Exodus 19:10-11). This was to symbolise the fact that a person

cant keep it they cant even receive ituntil theyd been cleansed by the grace of Christ. It

is only by grace that we have the imparted ability to keep the Law. The disobedient, unsanctified heart cannot obey God until it has found Jesus. Our hearts are deceitful above

all things, and desperately wicked. Jeremiah 17:9. What might be the solution?

In Psalm 51:10, David prays Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit

within me. If you look it up in the Strongs Concordance, youll discover that the word for

create in Psalm 51:10 actually comes from the same Hebrew word used for created in

    Genesis 1:1. Strongs #1254 bara{baw-raw} to create.

Only God can create in the sense implied by bara. The verb expresses creation out of

nothing. And so what David was really asking God was to create for him a clean heart out of

nothing. Thats amazing isnt it! Have you ever asked God that question?

Paul tells us that, though grace, the righteousness of the Law really can be fulfilled in us:

Romans 8:3-4 For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God

sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

that the righteousness [right-doing] of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the

    flesh, but after the Spirit.

Incidentally, if someone ever told you that youd never actually be able to be completely free

from your sins; then that person was either misinformed or lying. The Bible tells us that Jesus

    truly can make us free from all our sins! (See Deut. 18:13; 1 Kings 8:56-60, 61; Matt. 5:48;

    19:26; 22:1-14; Mark 10:27; Luke 1:37; 18:27; John 1:4, 29, 36; 8:30-36; Romans 6:18, 22;8:1-10, 13; 2 Cor. 12:9; Eph. 5:27; Phil. 4:13; Titus 2:14; 2 Peter 3:11 and 1 John 2:1, 3, 4, 6,

God is all-powerful, merciful and very gracious. This should be sufficient proof enough!

WWhhaattIIssGGooddssLL aawwLL iikkee??Gods Law is like a mirror. (1 Corinthians 13:12; James 1:23-25.)

Let me tell you a story. (And this is a true story, by the way). A man wanted to undertake

further education, and so he had to take up a new job. This particular job involved cleaning

the chimneys in a factory which made furniture. On his first day he was given a mask and

goggles and other equipment; and he cleaned the chimneys. When he got home, his wife

opened the door to him and had the fright of her life. She was shocked at his appearance.

What happened to you?! she exclaimed.

The man replied, What do you mean? Ive been cleaning the chimneys.

Have you looked in the mirror? she asked.

No, I hadnt thought about it, he replied.

And that man went and looked in the mirror and the only things white were his eyeballs and

his teeth! Everything else was covered in soot. And he had walked all the way home from

    work without realising!

Now think of yourself. You have done wicked things. You have done things which are

disgusting and unacceptable to a holy God. How would you find out that you re dirty? Howwould you realise your condition? I had not known sin, but by the Law: for I had not known

lust, except the Law had said, Thou shalt not covet. Romans 7:7.

The Law tells you that you are sick. The Law tells you that youre in need of a Sa viour. But

just as the mirror had no power to clean the soot off the man, so the Law has no power to free

you from sin. It doesnt matter how many good works you do, keeping it will not remove

your sin (Romans 3:28; Galatians 3:11). What you need is Christ, the sin-pardoning Saviour!

Do not feel that you must wash yourself to come to Him. Come just as you are. It is He who

will cleanse you (see John 13:5-15). It is He who has been searching for you (see Luke 15:11-

32). Salvation does not come through our seeking after God. Rather, salvation comes throughGods seeking after us. Fear not little one, for God has made the first advance.

Come to Him today. The Spirit may not call you again. But after you come to Him, you must

lay aside your sins; all your pride and folly. They are to be placed at the foot of His cross and

never to be taken up again.

Here is another analogy of the Law. Imagine that (and I hope this wouldnt happen to anyone

reading this) you visit a doctor one day; and the doctor says after doing several tests, Im

very sorry to tell you, but you have cancer. You now have a serious problem.

Is the doctor your problem? No. Is the solution to go and get a baseball bat and batter the

doctor to death? No! What is the solution to the cancer of sin? Must we remove the very Law

which points it out? The Bible tells that the Law worketh wrath (Romans 4:15). Moreover,

we are under the curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13) when we sin.

Why does the Law bring wrath on us? Why does it curse us? The problem is not with the

Law, but with sin. You know if we didnt sin then the Law would say, You are OK.

However, because sin dwells in our members, because we now have a sinful nature, we areutterly helpless (of ourselves) to cease performing evil, wicked actions. Whenever we sin we

perform the works of the Law (Galatians 3:10) and we displease God. Good works cannot

remove our sin, for we are justified by Christ alone and not by the Law (Galatians 3:11).

    In Deuteronomy 28, the Bible gives a whole list of blessings if we keep the Commandments;

and a whole list of curses if we break them. Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and

a curse; a blessing, if ye obey the Commandments of the LORD your God, which I command

you this day: and a curse, if ye will not obey the Commandments of the LORD your God, but

turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye

have not known. Deuteronomy 11:26-28. If we keep the Sabbath then we shall be blessed.

However, we are cursed if we still cling to Old Testament feastdays (Galatians 5:1-6).

The Bible is quite clear that sin will curse us.

The transgression of the royal Law, which is

sin (1 John 3:4), will curse us. However, for

those who believe in Jesus we are told that

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of

the Law, being made a curse for us. The

Law would curse us because we are sinners.

But Christ, having redeemed us from sin

(Galatians 3:13), and made us free from sin

(Romans 6:22), henceforth releases us from

the condemnation of the Law! When we

accept Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives,

we are henceforth no longer under the curse

of the Law. Were under grace! This is what the Bible means when it says that Christ hath

redeemed us from the curse of the Law . Galatians 3:13. This new redemption in Christ now

stimulates growth of character. It does not give us a free license to sin (Romans 6:1-2, 11-16).

Imagine that you get stopped by a police car for

speeding. You went through a red light. You

broke the Law. You are thus under the Law. Ifyou never speeded in the first place, then you

would not be under the Law. The wages of sin

is death. However in this example, the penalty

would be a speeding ticket. Now my friends: be

nice to the police officer you never know, he

might offer you his grace. If he offers you his

mercy instead, then you are now under grace.

How would you react in this situation? Would you drive madly on, speeding as before,

trampling on his grace? Or would you be extra careful not to sin now not to break the Law

because you love Him? Obedience to Jesus Christ is a fruit of our love (John 14:15). We donot obey that we may be saved. We obey because Jesus Christ now lives inside our hearts.

It is through the Ten Commandments that God reveals His very own nature and character.

This proves that it is truly impossible to honour The LORD without first honouring His Law.

The reason why God cannot tolerate sin the transgression of the Law is because sin is a

defilementof His very own character. This is why those who enter into Heaven, into the city

of God, do His Commandments (Matthew 19:17; Revelation 22:14); and are, like God,

perfect in their character (Deuteronomy 18:13; Matthew 5:48).

The following table illustrates this truth. The Law of God truly is a transcript of His own

character. The left column describes the character of God whilst the right column describes

the Ten Commandments. Copious scripture references have been provided for each. As you

look down the rows, you will read a list of individual characteristics which describe both God

and Gods Law. Most verses referenced contain the key word given, others will imply it.
