County Project Leaders are Needed! We need YOU to share your time and talents with the 4-H youth of Haskell County! Project

leaders coordinate workshops, answer individual questions, and provide guidance in their pro-

jects areas. We are looking to branch out this year and add new project areas. If you would

like to be involved with our 4-H youth, please give us a call at the Extension Office 620-675-

2261.

Livestock Judging Practice Evaluation of livestock is an exciting and thought provoking experience. The ultimate goal of

livestock judging is to compare your perception of an animal against the IDEAL and then to

compare your opinion with that of another individual or group or individuals. At its basic lev-

el livestock judging consists of 2 primary components: 1) Placing a group of animals 2) Orally

justifying your decision (reasons). If you are interested in Livestock Judging, please contact

Lacey as soon as possible. We will begin workouts very soon!

County Club Day Contest ~ The 4-H Club that has the most participants at county club day will receive a PIZZA PARTY at

4-H Stewardship As we approach this winter season as well as the coming holiday, may we all remember to be

good stewards of our community members. Lending a helping hand when needed or just a

warm smile and hello to our neighbors. Take the time, even if it is just a few minutes on your

way home from school, to say hello to a neighbor you have not seen outside lately. Let your

neighbors see you put your best 4-H foot forward. Happy & Safe Holidays to each and every

one of you.

All calendar events & times are subject to change—be sure to contact your club or

the Extension office if you have any questions.
