Types of communication

Intrapersonal communicationCommunicating with oneself. Sending and receiving messages within oneself.

Some examples of intrapersonal (internal) conflicts are: A person who is dieting being offered a big piece of cake may have an intrapersonal conflict as to eat the cake or stay on the diet. A person who has promised to keep a secret mayexperience a conflict between keeping the secret or telling it to someone.

Nonverbal communication

Nonverbal communication is the process ofcommunication through sending and receivingwordless (mostly visual) cues between people. our facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, posture, and tone of voice

Interpersonal communication

communication that takes place between twopeople . It is an exchange of informationbetween two or more people. During interpersonal communication there ismessage sending and message receiving.

Small Group/organizational communication

Communication that takes place between more than two members.

Group members usually communicate equally

Groups of between 3 and 20 individuals generally work in a context that is both relational and social. Quality communication such as helping behaviors and information-sharing causes groups to be superior to the average individual in terms of the quality of decisions and effectiveness of decisions made or actions taken, such as working in teams.

Public/ presentational communication

Public communication (Presentationalcommunicational) occurs when a speakeraddresses a gathering of other people (anaudience) to inform, persuade or entertain.

The gathering is too large usually for allmembers to communicate equally.These are the purposes of using public orpresentational communication:To informTo educateTo entertain

Communication to inform

To inform the public about any new technique,New procedures, or some new regulations in anInstitution or company.

Communication to educate

To lecture at a university or to educate a groupof people about any subject, such as healthissues.

Communication to persuade

Communicators try to convince other people to change their attitude or behaviors regarding an issue through the transmission of a

massage in an atmosphere of free choice .

To persuade people to alien with your views, or vote for you.

To try to persuade some people to buy a new product.

Communication to entertain

To attend a play is one kind of publiccommunication for entertaining purposes as a group of actors act a play on a stage in front ofan audience. The same as listening to a concertAlso is some kind of public communication forentertaining purposes where the audiencewatch but don’t give any feedback.

Communication between people who have different cultural backgrounds:
