COMMUNITY YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Community Youth Volunteer Program is open to Venango County youth between the ages of 10 and 18 . Participants in the program earn “time dollars” for each hour they volunteer up to 80 hours in a cal-endar year. The “time dollars” are credited to the volunteer’s account at the rate of $4 an hour. The value of the hours volunteered can be redeemed for gift cards which can be used at participating area businesses. NATIONAL YOUTH PROJECT USING MINIBIKES

National Youth Project Using Minibikes (NYPUM) is designed to motivate youth to make positive life changes through positive peer and adult interac-tions. NYPUM is a national program using the privilege to ride a Honda minibike as an Incentive to motivate boys and girls to make a positive change in their lives. Participants earn the privilege to ride minibikes by achieving specific goals in their individ-ual contracts and adhering to safety standards and rules of the program. SEVENTH GRADE INITIATIVE Bring your school ID or report card along with a parent or

TAE KWON DO Tae Kwon Do is held at the Oil City YMCA for ages 6-adult. Class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00—7:30 pm with Chris Blauser, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Youth and adults may par-ticipate together. Cost: $22/members; $32/non-members for 6 wks September 23—October 28 November 11—December 16 KIDS YOGA Yoga for kids age 6-11 is an exciting program that will help with balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic skills. Yoga for kids can help your child socially and academically by providing a better focus, increased memory, and improved behavior. Nicole Shreve is the instructor. Held Tuesdays; 6:00—6:45 pm 6-wk session: $25/members; $40/non-members September 22—October 27

FUNDAMENTAL GYMNASTICS—Ages 6+ Youth are introduced to skills in bar, vault, beam and floor routines. For children wanting to pursue cheer-leading and gymnastics, this program will help increase strength, flexibility and agility. Fundamental Gymnastics meets Tuesdays & Thursday from 5:30—6:30 pm. Monthly fee is $32/Members and $55/Non-Members.

GYMNASTICS TEAM The gymnastics team consists of gymnasts who have the desire to compete. The Oil City YMCA Tri-Stars compete at levels 2-9. RIVER OTTERS SWIM TEAM Swim Team is designed for competitive swim team members

with previous competition experience. The focus is on

advanced competitive swim techniques, stroke development,

MASTERS SWIM TEAM Masters Swim Team is available to adult members age 18-99

CARDIAC REHAB PHASE III For older adults who need guidance and support during a workout. Group exercise en-vironment keeps you connect-ed and offers support to meet health goals. Offered between the hours of 7:30-9:30 am on M/W/F. Monthly Fee: $15 Members

Group Cycling Burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Class provides motivating music and is modified for all levels!

Body Bar Our body bar class emphasizes full-body conditioning through every range of motion. This class focuses on muscular strength, stamina, and agility. Sculpt Build muscle strength and endurance with techniques that use body bars, dumbbells, balls and tubes. This is a total body class that will strengthen all the muscle groups. Finish the class off with a great stretch. Dance & Tone Dance & Tone is a fun overall body workout to music, designed to burn calories and tone arms, abs, thighs and bums. A great class recommended for everyone.

Walk off the Pounds Walk off the Pounds is a new group exercise class meeting on Tuesdays from 11 – 11:45; walk up to 3 miles in our group exercise studio; video format taught by Doug and Marcia Fox; great for individuals new to exercise or to those who have been working out for years; try it out!

Restorative Stretch The class begins with dynamic stretches, which warm the body and increase flexibility through movement. Restora-tive stretch helps maintain mobility, prevent injury and in-crease physical performance.

Pound Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the per-fect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. Cycle + Core Burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Class provides motivating music and is modified for all levels! Finish up with 15 minutes of core blast!

Breath & Relaxation Focus on the art of breathing with Dave McClellan. This class gives you the tools needed to keep your range of mo-tion, muscle flexibility, and appropriate breathing tech-niques.

Cardio Dance Dance away your stress while you burn calories in our new Cardio Dance class. This high energy class is set to music. Cardio Dance makes exercise more like fun.

ADULT PROGRAMS CONTINUED

ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE The YMCA Adult Basketball league begins on Wednesday, November 11, with games beginning at 6:30 pm. All games will be held on Wednesday evenings. All players must be 18+ to compete in the league. League will consist of a round robin regular season with 6 guaranteed games. A single elimination playoff tournament will complete the season. Register for $275 per team of up to 12 players. Contact Max Krepps for more information.

FALL PUMPKIN PAINTING EVENT OCTOBER 9, 2020

Sign up at the Membership Desk by October 7, 2020 and join us for pumpkin decorating in the multipurpose room. We’ll have 10 mini pumpkins and materials for decorating. Feel free to bring your own pumpkin!

GET LEAN FOR HALLOWEEN Scare away extra calories this Halloween! The average American consumes between 3,500 and 7,000 calories from candy during Halloween. We challenge our Y members to burn a minimum of 3,000 calories from October 25-31. Earn a challenge t-shirt for participating. $12/members.

CHILD WATCH—Returning For children ages 8 months– 7 years while you work out at the YMCA! Child Watch is available in the YMCA facility for children 8 months to 7 years old, while their parents are using the YMCA facilities. Parents must remain inside the YMCA. Parents using our Child Watch service will receive a copy of a handbook and will be required to comply with all guidelines. For evening Child Watch, service will be discontinued at 6:30 pm if there are no

children by that time.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE The Y provides care for your student in grades K-6 Before School, After School and Out of School days. Care is

available before and after school as well as all day care during school holidays, act 80 days, snow days and early

DAY CARE—Available 6 am to 6 pm Weekdays Infant/Toddler Child Care --Warm and nurturing care for your little one ages six weeks-three years.

Infants: $159 week full time, $107 week part-time; Toddlers: $155 week full-time, $102 week part-

Preschool Child Care --Care and caring for children ages 3-5. Breakfast, lunch and snack provided

Preschool Class

Three, four and five year old classes meet Mon., Wed., Fri. from 8:30

am—12:15 pm with a fee of $110 per month. Preschool teaches fun

themes and kindergarten readiness activities. Swim lessons are held on

Monday. Gym class is held on Friday. Snack is included. YMCA Preschool

follows the Oil City School District Calendar.
