How to play:

· Give each child a pretzel stick and 5 marshmallows on a plate.

· Show the children how to poke the pretzel stick through all five

marshmallows to hold them together.

· Tear off a small piece of the fruit roll and wrap it around the

marshmallows to create a blanket for baby Samuel.

Hole punches

Scissors

Washable crayons

How to play:

· Teachers should cut yarn into 8 inch pieces or

help children do it.

· Color the Baby Samuel page.

· Punch a hole at the top of the page and string

the yarn through the hole.

· Explain that we will pretend to be Prince Jonathan. We must find David

and warn him that King Saul is trying to hurt him.

· Have the children look for the David cut out. Encourage them to call out

David’s name.

· Congratulate the child who finds David.

· Ask the children to pretend to tell David that King Saul is trying to hurt

him.

· Let the children wear their crown home.

How to play:
