InthisprojectIwantedtochallengemyselftowriteapoemthatconflatestheactof

readingwiththeactoftightropewalking.ItstartedwhenmywifeandIsawapictureofa

tightropewalker.Iwashookedaboutthinkinghowfunambulismislikepoetry.Themost

obviousconnectionisthatatightropewalkerwalksalonglines,andapoetwalksalong

lines.Thenameofmymuse,myfunambulist,isIvy.Heismylocalmuseoflines.Ibring

togetheranimaginationofhimasavoiceandasapresenceofsomeonewhowalksalong
