Graduates’ Testimonials

The programme helped a lot in enhancing my Accounting and Taxation knowledge, which I could readily apply to my profession.

Upon completion of this Degree, I was granted exemptions from 9 ACCA Fundamental papers. This will help me to consider my future goals of obtaining the ACCA qualification more quickly as it is very useful for those in the Accounting field. I can then make up for ‘lost time’ during my youth when I was solely focused on developing my career.

Daniel LimAccounting Officer, Korean Multinational CompanyBachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accountancy and Financial Management Graduate (2017)

I was looking to pursue an education that would enhance my knowledge and, at the same time, provide good career opportunities as I progressed in the Accounting field. The programme had a good combination of subjects that not only deepened my existing knowledge but also cultivated effective analytical and critical thinking skills, which I felt helped my job as I could provide my management team with more relevant analysis for decision making.

I was also impressed by the professionalism and patience of the staff at Kaplan when I needed more information about the programme. The affordable programme fees, flexible payment plans and central campus location secured my decision to study here.

Tay Hui SinAccount Executive, Local-listed companyBachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accountancy and Financial Management Graduate (2018)

I chose this Accountancy and Financial Management Degree programme from the University of Portsmouth as it offers specialisations in both Accounting and Financial Management. Within 18 months, I completed the programme with First Class Honours. This Degree will open the doors for me to pursue my ACCA qualification ahead of my peers as it provides me with exemptions from ACCA Fundamental papers. As such, I can take the ACCA Professional papers directly should I choose to do so in the future.

As I work in an exclusive club’s financial team, this programme has expanded my perspective of the industry.

Graduates’ Testimonials

I chose University of Portsmouth as it is one of the few universities that offers an Honours Degree in Computing and Digital Forensics in Singapore that can be completed in 18 months.

This programme has boosted my job confidence as I learnt broad computing knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of Digital Forensics. My study journey has also been smooth as I had sufficient time to complete assignments and juggle time between my work and studies.

As I graduated from a local Polytechnic some years ago, I always felt the need to upgrade my knowledge and skills. This programme has totally refreshed my understanding of the latest IT industry trends today and expanded my perspective of the Cybersecurity industry. I would highly recommend this programme to anyone looking to be a Cybersecurity professional, as it has validated my skills and prepared me to be more industry-ready. Kenny Ong Senior IT Officer, Research CompanyBachelor of Science (Honours) Forensic Computing (Top-up)University of Portsmouth Student (2019)

As a Systems Engineer, it can be really difficult to study as I need to juggle time between my studies, family and career. I chose University of Portsmouth as it has an excellent ranking in UK and provides a quality curriculum, as well as a programme duration and flexible schedule that totally suits my hectic IT professional lifestyle.

One of my key job responsibilities is to build processes and platforms to support software development lifecycles. By applying what I had learnt in my classroom to my workplace, I gained more confidence and mastery in communicating with other Software Engineers. I have applied better practices to performance tools, data structures, automation and even Agile methodologies to improve my work every day.
