CHAPEL MISSION PROJECT – Hearts for Jesus – January-March

Our Hearts for Jesus project these next few months will be focusing on

foster children. The funds we raise through our chapel offerings will go

towards purchasing duffel bags for these children so they do not need to

carry their belongings around in garbage bags.

Currently, Michigan has over 13,000 children in foster care, and 1,800 waiting for forever families. Children

are placed in foster care after other interventions have failed, but generally are removed from their family's

home as a result of abuse, neglect, and violence. Children in foster care, on average, remain in "the system"

for two years before permanency is determined (ie. either reunited with family or rights terminated and

available for adoption). – Wellspring website.

BROOKE POZZI – OFFICE ASSISTANT FOR THE DAY

TODAY WAS A VERY FUN DAY. I GOT TO GO IN THE

ELEVATOR AND I GOT TO MAIL THINGS TO TEACHERS. I’M

SO HAPPY THAT MY MOM AND DAD WON THIS AT THE

AUCTION. MY FAVORITE PART WAS WHEN I GOT TO

SPEAK INTO THE SPEAKER. IT WAS A VERY VERY FUN DAY!
