Upcycle high heels with bra By: _stuff_it. http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/upcycle-high-heels-with-bra This is an idea I saw in the BurdaStyle magazine (Nr. 2/2010) and I just had to do it :) Basically, you take a pair of old or simple high heels and a bra (one that is out of use!), which you paste (glue) to the heels. I added some loger ribbon to “lace” it up my legs. It’s some idea that can be alternated in a lot of different and indiviual ways! Play with colors if you like! :) I really like it, because it looks this elegant (especially if you use a bra with lace;)) and it goes with nearly everything, including evening gowns. If you need the instructions in the german language, just contact me:) Materials a pair of high heels, a bra (be careful about the size! european b-cup fits the best), satin ribbon, scissor, needle & some yarn, contact adhesive / two-component adhesive Step 1 — Prepare the bra First, you take the bra and cut it into two parts, right in the middle. If you have got an underwire bra, you should pull the wires out now (carefully cut the fabric a little bit on the inside, be sure the wire is underneath and it is on the edge, so it won’t be seen- then you can pull it out). Now cut off the back parts, the bit underneath and the straps (we won’t need this anymore, but the straps are always useful;)). I recommend using one without straps, they have a more beautiful curved line, but it doesn’t really matter. Cut carefully and beneath seams, so that they are not open (in the picture you’ll see what I mean) Upcycle high heels with bra 1

This is an idea I saw in the BurdaStyle magazine (Nr. 2/2010) and I just had to do it :) Basically, you take apair of old or simple high heels and a bra (one that is out of use!), which you paste (glue) to the heels. I addedsome loger ribbon to “lace” it up my legs. It’s some idea that can be alternated in a lot of different andindiviual ways! Play with colors if you like! :) I really like it, because it looks this elegant (especially if youuse a bra with lace;)) and it goes with nearly everything, including evening gowns. If you need theinstructions in the german language, just contact me:)

Materials

a pair of high heels, a bra (be careful about the size! european b-cup fits the best), satin ribbon, scissor, needle & some yarn, contact adhesive / two-component adhesive

Step 1 — Prepare the bra

First, you take the bra and cut it into two parts, right in the middle. If you have got an underwire bra, you should pull the wires out now (carefully cut the fabric a little bit on theinside, be sure the wire is underneath and it is on the edge, so it won’t be seen- then you can pull it out). Now cut off the back parts, the bit underneath and the straps (we won’t need this anymore, but the straps arealways useful;)).I recommend using one without straps, they have a more beautiful curved line, but it doesn’t really matter.Cut carefully and beneath seams, so that they are not open (in the picture you’ll see what I mean)

Step 2 — finished preparing?

Your pieces should look like this one, exept you used a strapless bra.Now take your shoes and just hold the bra piece onto the heel.If you found a way you like it, you can use the adhesive (follow the instructions brought with it!) to fix it. But you really should sure about what you’re doing! It is going to be like you fixed it! I promise, it will lastuntill you cut it off.(That’s also why I recommend old stuff, which is out of use.)

Another tip: If it had straps, it is better to put it onto the heel in a way the upper left edge (picture!) has aboutthe same height like the right one (again, the picture). It is also better if the upper left edge is on the outsideof the shoe.

Step 3 — Stain ribbon for the last

The last thing you have to do is to take the satin ribbon (or whatever one; I took 2m, but 1.6m are fairlyenough) and cut it into 4 equal parts. Now sew one part at each edge. Don’t forget to turn around and stich the loose end, otherwise it will unravel.

Hooray, we’re done! :DAnd it wasn’t that hard to get a new pair of shoes, right? :)
