Brief Statement of Capabilities

Having over 25 years of experience in the Engineering and Construction fields with

extensive design and consulting engineering background and over fifteen years of

working experience with leading Turkish, US and European design and consulting

partners and having clients ranging from CIS countries to middle east, Caucuses

and the military works completed for the USACE in Europe, Iraq and Afghanistan,

URAL Engineering has gathered a vast working experienced with varying

international design codes, requirements and site specific conditions. URAL teams

made up of expert engineers, architects, supervisors and construction managers,

can handle mid to large scale multi discipline Consulting Design and Design and

Build projects. URAL Engineering has the capacity to undertake Consulting,

Architecture and Engineering Design works in Turkey, Russia, Moldavia, Kazakhstan,

COMPANY BACKGROUND :

U R A L Engineering Ltd Co., is

established in January 1991 in Ankara. The

founders of the firm are Mr. Orhan Ural,

MSCE and Mr. Süreyya Ural, BSCE, MBA.

Mr. Orhan Ural is the founder and 25 years

General manager and the CEO of a well

known Turkish Consulting Engineering firm GEMAŞ Inc. which was Turkey’s leading

infrastructure, dam, airfield, roads and Motorways design and Consulting firm. Mr. O. Ural

actually took part and led a large force of engineers and architects in rendering studies, design

and consulting services for a great number of government, military and industrial investment

projects.

When URAL Engineering was established as a core specialty Engineering and Architectural

Consulting Company, it had the advantage of having the experience of its partners at its disposal

and possessing a large archive of technical documents of a variety of completed projects. In full

tandem with this experience, URAL Engineering has the capabilities of utilizing the latest computer

aided design, drafting and computing methods, software and output peripherals. Ural

Engineering Co., is capable of carrying out engineering services in all phases of project

conception, design and construction.

Mr. A. Süreyya Ural, who became the director of the

company in 1996, established efficient and flexible core

teams that can carry out large projects by demand bases

expandable task forces. This allows URAL Engineering to

operate on a cost effective and competitive budgets. The

ORGANIZATION :

URAL Engineering Ltd. Co., is so organized as to enable it to perform requirements of an

engineering project in the most efficient and cost effective way. For this reason, in order to keep

OH costs at a minimum, the number of permanent staff is limited to a core made up of partners,

project managers, and specialists who are responsible for job promotion and planning as well as

programming work load regarding both man-months and job qualifications. These core

personnel are enhanced according to the requirements of the project by additionally hired

engineers and architects as well as by direct collaboration with the associated specialty firms.

The firm has re structured its “engineering only”

backbone. Its work stations are all custom configured for the specific tasks they have

TOPOGRAPHICAL STUDIES :

The site mapping, leveling, surveying studies are carried out by our associate firms. Drawings are

provided in digital format ready to be manipulated according to the project requirements. This of

course simplifies and accelerates the design process as well as increasing the accuracy of the

final project. Contemporary mapping techniques, remote sensing, digital mapping, GPS

applications are among services provided by URAL.

PARTNERING AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER:

URAL Engineering Ltd., is in close contact with various USA and Europe based Consulting

Engineering firms and has worked with them in various forms. URAL Engineering Ltd., has

continuous cooperation arrangements with these firms and has experience in forming and

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES:

Ural Engineering Ltd. Co., had successfully completed various projects in Russia (Moscow, Rostov,

Volgagrad, Tolliati, Kazan) Moldovia, Georgia, Iraq and Turkmenistan. The firm takes place in

the Multi-discipline Engineering Design Group List of United State Air Force. US standards and

CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION, CONSULTING & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES :

Having the years of design, site supervision and construction management experience URAL has

combined the management and supervision requirements of Design and Build construction and

general contracting activities.

A large inventory of local and Turkish sub-

contractors who have the most desired

capabilities for the specific project are put

together to form task forces that can immediately

takeover and handle various components of a

construction project. Each task force is headed by

a URAL chief engineer or architect who shall

superintend and be responsible from the overall

performance of the team.

1991 - Present Mr. Ahmet Süreyya Ural is the founding partner of URAL Engineering Ltd, established in 1991. Mr. URAL has leaded a number of teams under his organization as well as sub-consultants for many of these projects. As part of URAL Engineering Co. under Mr. Ural’s supervision İstanbul Stock Exchanges Facilities and Turkish Military Rehabilitation and Care Hospital project in Ankara have been undertaken for FM implementations including Asset Control and Building operations and Maintenance areas.
