DESCRIPTION
This Northern White monocrystalline alpha-quartz proppant is derived from the St. Peter
and Wonewoc formations and processed and sized at the U.S. Silica plants in Illinois and
Wisconsin. The extremely durable proppant exhibits exceptional strength, integrity and
purity, and will not degrade or dissolve during handling and pumping associated with
normal fracturing operations.
ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS
• Proppant specific gravity of 2.65 enables maximum suspension and lateral fracture placement
• Compatible with all hydraulic fracturing chemicals
• High-quality Krumbein Factors (roundness and sphericity) ensure optimum downhole
porosity and permeability, and thus, conductivity
• Excellent crush resistant classification or K-Value
• Meets or exceeds ISO 13503-2 and API RP 19C specifications for particle distribution,
roundness and sphericity, turbidity, acid solubility and crush resistance
APPLICATIONS
• All sandstone and fractured shale formations requiring high-strength
alpha-quartz proppants• Recommended for formations with net closure stresses up to 6,000 psi

LONG-TERM CONDUCTIVIT
Long-term conductivity is
a measure of the hydraulic
fracture’s ability to allow flow.
It is a multiple of the
permeability of the proppant
pack in millidarcys and the
width of the proppant pack
measured in feet.
LONG-TERM PERMEABILITY
Long-term permeability is a
measure of a porous medium’
ability to flow measured in
Darcys or fractions thereof.
It is a function of the cross-
sectional area open to flow,
the differential pressure due
to flow and the viscosity of the
flowing medium.
