简介

Can you remember your first day in Beijing? The thoughts of speeding time to quickly return home to your comfort zone, your families, and friends. However, with time we met new people, we made new friends, attended conferences and parties, traveled and saw beautiful places in China, gain or loss weight, we did examinations that eventually led to thesis defense, and of course, the cultural assimilation experienced with the language, people and food.

We are different people from different places, with unique cultures and traditions and we have gathered in one place with the purpose of obtaining our degrees, searching for opportunities as well as building up network with new friends and colleagues. We will forever remember Beijing China, how it has opened our minds, shaped our experiences and broaden our understanding and most of all the history we have made. Like the “World Cup”, we are from diverse nations representing our countries, but what brings us together is our dreams, our visions and our abilities to adapt to new environment in the shortest possible time.

Studying abroad is not easy, it comes with pressure and fear but we have achieved. It comes with lots of responsibilities. However, it is also a great experience and a true sense of “Oneness” as well as a true feeling of globalization. We have become more mature and our minds have grown with love for the people around us. Indeed destiny has been fulfilled from the day we decided to come to study in China. We did not know how we were going to survive but we did it. We served as “Good Ambassadors” for our respective countries showcasing our potentials. What we will do or become from here is something we all are contemplating over, how we are going to resettle back with our families, friends and loved ones, finding a suitable job and as well as been able to excel in our various fields of studies, especially with the high expectations that awaits us. Our minds are filled

with great prospects of how it will be like when we return. We should rest assure that everything will be alright, whether we go home or find new opportunities here or anywhere else to the work. As we make our journey back home again we are about to leave behind our friends and some new hobbies we adapted in China. Indeed the manifestation of the prayers of families, friends and loved ones can be seen, the aspirations of our forefathers that one day their children’s children (you and me) will achieve great milestone. We have made it this far, yes! We have conquered and now we are looking to what lies ahead of us. It is a fact that memories we have here will not be forgotten. Some of us may wish that we did more in the years we spend here, while others would wished that they travelled a lot and still some would wished for more time to stay. Our journey has not ended yet; I believe it has just begun because at any time we could start a new adventure.

Endings are necessary; it comes at its own proper time. Chapters are opened and chapters are closed. Now we are closing a chapter in our lives. We are at a juncture of our lives where there is no turning back: forward ever, backward never. The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach our full potential are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence. Therefore go out there show the world what you were taught, share your experiences, and let the skies be your limits. It’s time to put your dreams in to reality.

We will never forget the great minds that guided us in our journey to reach at this point; for their help we are grateful. At USTB, we have acquired knowledge and good research skills for the challenges out there; what we have learned will not be forgotten. Finally we can say that what we have learned and it can never be taken from us but can be used in getting our daily bread.
