USES OF CBMS

The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) is the lead implementing unit and depository of CBMS Database.

The CBMS dataset is generally used as input variable in crafting the city’s programs, plans and policies. It is the very substance of the city’s Socio-Economic and Physical Profile (SEPP).

RECOMMENDATIONS, CHALLENGESAND NEXT STEPS

The CGT taking advantage of the technology, opted to use the tablet-based survey on its 4th round of its implementation

RECOMMENDATIONS : (1) adoption of tablet-based survey; (2) continuous implementation of the CBMS to monitor and validate the effectiveness of the programs/projects and other interventions executed by the city.

CHALLENGES in using the tablet-based survey: (1) personal safety of enumerators, (2) software and hardware malfunction and (3) data back-up procedure.

Currently, the CGT is on the stage of massive IEC for the 48 barangays to promote awareness and community participation
