Increased Range with Accurate, Robust, Reproducible Results Class leading proprietary engineering and precise temperature control secure excellent reproducibility from port to port. This ensures confident, accurate, rugged and reliable results in high throughput analyses.
Outstanding micropore performance
Pore Size Distribution of Three 13X Zeolite Samples Analyzed Simultaneously The increased range of
resolution permits data collection at very low pressures, where micropores begin to fill. Enhanced dosing options allow for a detailed isotherm to be collected over the entire range of relative pressure.
Extended resolution in micropore region of better than 10-8 relative pressure (P/Po)
Three analysis ports with independent transducers permit concurrent or dissimilar samples on each ports
Po port with a dedicated transducer
Interactive, data reduction and user-defined report options with new MicroActive 2.0 software
25 bit A/D conversion of pressure transducers secures maximum data resolution Stainless-steel gas inlet
and analysis manifold
Pneumatically actuated, hard seal valves provide ultra-clean operation
Outstanding gas management; Measured outgas rate is <0.03 µmHg/min. Four instruments may
be operated from one computer
Redesigned dewar can provide >80 hours of unattended operation

3Flex Hardware Specifications Comparison
With you, the user in mind…
Training videos within the 3Flex software will guide new users through the analysis step-by-step. Sections include how to:
• Prepare samples • Create sample files • Create parameter files • Connect gases
With you, the user in mind… Method wizards provide guided assistance to create methods for novice or experienced users.
With you, the user in mind…
Method wizards include guided assistance for the
creation of methods in accordance with the ASTM
With you, the user in mind… Improved system control within MicroActive 2.0 provides the capability to alternate between pressure tables and the dosing routine.
This improved control gives the user the ability to change the pressure increment, volume dose increment, and equilibration interval time between data points and during analysis for pressure points yet not reached. This permits a higher level of accurate dosing of very low partial pressures resulting in improved resolution in the isotherm data.
The 3Flex library includes more than 30 fluids
• Inorganic gases: nitrogen, oxygen, argon, krypton
• Alkanes: methane, ethane, propane, butane
• Alkenes: ethylene, propylene The 3Flex is designed with extensive chemical compatibility
• The large library allows the user to utilize the full instrument capabilities
Reduce the “user effort” to find information

With you, the user in mind… Mercury Intrusion Data Overlay
MicroActive 2.0 for 3Flex includes a powerful utility for including the pore size distribution from mercury porosimetry analyses with pore size distributions calculated from gas adsorption isotherms. This new import function allows users to rapidly view micro, meso, and macro pore size distributions in one easy-to-use application.

With you, the user in mind… The 3Flex features preventive/maintenance alerts, diagnostic monitoring, and trouble shooting embedded in its software.
The Dashboard provides continuous information on key
operational parameters, as well as preventative maintenance cycles
The instrument log monitors system activity and records events. In case of a problem,
you can view the log to see all events and where a failure
may have occurred.
Reduces Operating Costs and Maximizes Return on Your Investment The versatile nature of the 3Flex permits high-throughput, multiple macropore ( >330nm) to micropore analyses from one optimized instrument. Up to four units can be run from one computer, allowing a user to analyze up to 12 samples. Independent transducers at each port permit concurrent or different sample analyses to be run, saving time by providing superior throughput.
Improved Analytical Performance Hard seals provide virtually leak-free outgas rate operation for accurate dosing and gas delivery. Increased resolution in lower relative pressures improve data collection for micropore analysis. Improved utility in dosing and pressure table routines permits accurate dosing in small increment control. 25 bit A/D conversion provides maximum resolution.
Value and Effective Use of Personnel A long-life dewar allows complete adsorption and desorption isotherms to be collected without operator intervention. Long micropore analyses can be performed with minimal user involvement. MicroActive software allows users to interactively evaluate isotherm data. Users can easily include or exclude data, fitting the desired range of experimentally acquired data points. The User-Defined Report Options editor will allow the user to define multiple reports, perform custom calculations, transform plots, and display tabular data. Available training videos embedded in the software permit new users to be trained quickly.

Two pumps ensure best performance in high vacuum systems, one to pull pressure down to level where high pressure vacuum
pump has optimal initial performance

rating of the vacuum system
Vacuum Gauge Single Cold Cathode/ micro Pirani gauge
Gauge placed in close proximity to sample

For proper monitoring, gauge must be placed close to sample port. Measuring vacuum at pump is not indicative of pressure at sample. The 3Flex design permits automatic zeroing, ensuring
greater accuracy and repeatability
